Job Summary:

We at Veseris, a leader in the specialty chemical distribution industry, are seeking a self motivated, data driven Junior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis (“FRP&A”) team. This individual will partner with FRP&A team members to support the analysis and anomaly research related to financial performance compared to the Annual Operating Plan (“AOP”)/Budget. They will use system derived data to research anomalies. The role itself will be a mix of recurring reporting and ad hoc analysis. A successful candidate will be able to work in both a structured and unstructured framework where their inquisitiveness and curiosity will be required to find answers to financial performance results. Working knowledge and experience with BI, ERPs, planning tools, and data visualization tools are preferable.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Forecasting

  • Partnering within the FRP&A and General Ledger (“GL”) teams to develop the AOP.
  • Supporting the update of cash flow forecasting model. 

Reporting

  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reports, including key performance indicators (KPI’s) and performance metrics.
  • Monitor actual performance versus AOP and provide regular updates to business partners
  • Support the preparation of deliverables for external stakeholders including lenders 

Financial Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth analysis to find root cause of variances and anomalies with AOP and Prior Year.

Requirements

Required

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to build complex models to support business decisions
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance related discipline.

Preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, deFacto, and PowerBI

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with attention to detail

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Reports directly to the Manager of FP&A as part of a total team of three, Manager, Senior Analyst and Junior Financial Analyst.
