We are seeking a motivated Software Applications Engineer to join our team. This is a software‑focused role that sits at the intersection of hardware and software, working on cutting‑edge PC audio and haptics technologies for next‑generation consumer products.
In this role, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams—including application software, firmware, and driver development teams, as well as hardware and test organizations—to diagnose issues, communicate findings clearly, and help drive solutions. A key aspect of this position is supporting quick turnaround times and prompt resolution of customer issues to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. This role offers hands‑on exposure to real‑world customer challenges and collaboration with globally distributed engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Support investigation and resolution of customer‑reported software and system‑level issues using tools such as debuggers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes provide analysis and root causes of customer issues
- Clearly communicate technical issues and findings to cross‑functional teams with varying technical backgrounds
- Collaborate with globally distributed teams to help drive issues toward resolution
- Assist in debugging, reproducing, and triaging problems that span both software and hardware domains
- Contribute to documentation, troubleshooting guides, and process improvements
- Participate in product development discussions by sharing insights from customer use cases
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a strong focus on quality and timely results
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand complex technical information and explain it clearly and concisely
- Experience with consumer product development involving both software and hardware
- Passion for problem solving and delivering high‑quality results
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in the PC ecosystem or related platforms
- Basic familiarity with Windows drivers and operating system fundamentals
- Exposure to audio subsystems or audio architectures
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams
- Familiarity with at least one of the following languages (C, C++, Python, PowerShell)
