The RoleWe're looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer who can drive improvements to our cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, and operational practices. This role requires a technically deep leader who can work across infrastructure, automation, and application environments to help our engineers quickly build and ship high quality products. As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you'll report directly to our Head of Product & Engineering and will have significant influence over our development processes, infrastructure strategy, and technical roadmap while working with an open and collaborative team.

- Languages/Frameworks: Python, NodeJS, Typescript, ReactJS, Express, Django, NextJS
- Monitoring: Datadog, Google Error Monitoring, Stackdriver Logging
- Development Tools: Github, Webpack, Jira, VS Code
- Testing: Playwright, Jest, Pytest, React Testing Library
- Authentication: Auth0
- Leading infrastructure strategy and driving DevOps best practices across the engineering organization
- Helping engineers build reliable products by improving infrastructure and application monitoring, alerting, and tooling
- Building tools and frameworks that help developers better understand and debug their systems and data
- Investigating and resolving issues and outages related to uptime and performance of our infrastructure and databases
- Ensuring that Aspire follows technical best practices and maintains secure, reliable, and scalable systems
- Mentoring and guiding engineers across teams on DevOps principles and infrastructure best practices
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or related software engineering roles
- Demonstrated experience leading DevOps functions or infrastructure teams
- Deep expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and build automation, with a strong understanding of how application development ties into infrastructure
- Able to support engineers in US/CA from 9am-1pm PST in addition to engineers working in IST
- A polyglot engineer who can easily work with many different languages and frameworks, and can quickly become an expert with new technologies and systems
- A true team-player; someone that looks for opportunities to collaborate and mentor
- Played a critical role in architecting infrastructure and development environments at a startup from the ground up
- Deep experience with scalable architecture and a variety of software design patterns
- A track record of driving organization-wide adoption of DevOps principles and engineering best practices
