Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Architect to drive end-to-end solution architecture across a wide range of digital experience and platform initiatives. While this role requires deep expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)—including headful and headless, on-prem and cloud deployments—the Lead Architect is not limited to Adobe or CMS implementations. As a consultancy, we need architects who can lead complex engagements, evaluate and recommend the right platforms and patterns, and operate credibly across frontend, backend, cloud, integration, and experience ecosystems. This role blends hands-on architecture, technical leadership, and client advisory, with accountability for technical direction across multiple workstreams and teams.

Job ResponsibilitiesConsulting & Engagement Leadership
  • Own the overall technical direction of client engagements, often spanning multiple platforms and teams.
  • Lead architecture discovery, platform evaluation, and roadmap definition—not just solution implementation.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders, helping translate business goals into executable architectures.
  • Support pre-sales activities including solution shaping, architecture narratives, and technical estimations.
Digital Experience & Platform Architecture
  • Architect solutions across CMS/DXP, frontend, backend services, integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and recommend platforms including:
    • Adobe Experience Manager (headful & headless)
    • Non-Adobe DXPs / headless CMS (e.g., Sanity, Contentful)
    • Supporting experience tools (analytics, personalization, experimentation)
  • Design composable architectures where CMS is one part of a broader digital ecosystem.
Adobe & Experience Cloud Leadership
  • Provide architectural leadership for:
    • Classic AEM (headful) implementations
    • Headless AEM using Content Fragments and GraphQL
    • On-prem AEM (e.g., 6.5) and AEM as a Cloud Service
  • Architect integrations with:
    • Adobe Analytics
    • Adobe Target
    • Enterprise tagging strategies (data layer, event models, governance)
  • Advise clients on when Adobe is the right solution—and when it is not.
Frontend, Backend & Cloud Architecture
  • Guide teams building modern web applications using React and/or Angular.
  • Define API, integration, and backend patterns (REST, GraphQL, BFFs, microservices).
  • Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams on CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, security, and scalability.
  • Ensure architectures support performance, resiliency, and long-term evolution.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship
  • Lead and mentor Senior Architects and engineers across multiple engagements.
  • Facilitate architecture reviews, design sessions, and decision-making forums.
  • Set architectural standards and guardrails that scale across clients and teams.
