Summary:

In this role, you will lead the strategy, prioritization, and evolution of one or more major internally facing platform domains. You will own the internal data platform capabilities that make data reliable, reusable, and accessible across Vizient Intelligence products, including data ingestion, cross-cutting data services, the Enterprise Data Layer (EDL), data quality, and source onboarding. You will align platform investments with enterprise priorities, engineering capacity, AI Delivery strategy, architecture direction, and AI-first product delivery practices while partnering across cross-functional teams to improve internal developer productivity, accelerate product delivery, and enable scalable, secure, and reusable platform capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy, prioritization, and roadmap alignment across multiple internal platform capability areas.
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and evolution of internal data platform capabilities, including data ingestion, cross-cutting data services, the Enterprise Data Layer (EDL), data quality, metadata management, governance capabilities, and source onboarding.
  • Partner with Vizient Intelligence engineering, AI Delivery, architecture, security, and product leadership to define platform investment priorities.
  • Establish decision frameworks that sequence platform capabilities, address technical debt, improve platform reuse, enhance internal developer productivity, and support AI-assisted and agentic development workflows.
  • Align platform roadmaps with measurable outcomes, including reduced delivery friction, increased platform adoption, stronger governance, faster product delivery, and improved AI-first delivery maturity.
  • Drive platform capabilities that improve the reliability, accessibility, and reuse of enterprise data across Vizient Intelligence products.
  • Collaborate closely with data engineering teams to define platform capabilities that support scalable, high-quality, and governed data solutions.
  • Facilitate executive stakeholder alignment on platform direction, funding, dependencies, tradeoffs, adoption expectations, and AI-first operating model changes.
  • Represent platform product priorities in leadership forums by translating technical platform strategies into business-relevant decisions and resolving complex cross-functional priorities.
  • Guide and develop a small team of platform product professionals through coaching, mentorship, and professional development.
  • Establish lightweight platform product management standards, including discovery practices, roadmap narratives, success measures, prompt and context patterns, release planning, adoption planning, and responsible AI tool usage.
  • Build strong partnerships across engineering, AI Delivery, architecture, security, design, and internal product teams to enable consistent platform adoption and delivery outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience in product management, technical product management, enterprise platform products, data and analytics platforms, AI/ML products, developer platforms, AI-enabled software delivery, or enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise data platform capabilities, including data ingestion, Enterprise Data Layer (EDL), cross-cutting data services, data quality, metadata management, source onboarding, and data governance.
  • Experience partnering with data engineering, architecture, AI Delivery, and engineering teams to define and deliver scalable platform capabilities.
  • Proven success leading complex cross-functional platform initiatives, developing platform roadmaps, and influencing senior stakeholders to align investment priorities and technical decisions.
  • Strong technical fluency across architecture, data, AI, integration, identity and access management, governance, internal developer workflows, and agentic or AI-assisted development practices.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data ecosystems and enterprise data management principles preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach product teams in modern product management practices while leveraging AI tools effectively without creating unnecessary process overhead.
  • Ability to influence enterprise investment priorities, technical tradeoffs, internal adoption strategies, and AI-first operating model decisions.
  • Strong technical stakeholder management, communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills with the ability to build scalable product management practices while maintaining a lean operating model.
  • Experience developing high-performing teams and fostering collaboration across engineering, AI Delivery, architecture, security, design, and internal product organizations.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.
