Job Description
BAE Systems' Combat Vehicles Master Planning and Scheduling group is a trusted business partner within the Program Management function that establishes, statuses, updates, and delivers plans and schedules that enable program decision-making and support delivery of quality products and capabilities to our customers and, ultimately, the warfighter. A Master Planner/Scheduler creates and maintains complex detailed program plans and schedules (Integrated Master Plans, IMPs, and Integrated Master Schedules, IMSs) that guide program execution and serve as the baseline against which performance is measured. Working closely with Program Managers, Control Account Managers, and Work Package Managers (WPMs), the Master Planner/Scheduler documents the tasks necessary for successful program execution. In partnership with the Program Finance team, the Master Planner/Scheduler communicates schedule status and performance to date to the program team as well as makes predictions about future performance.
This position is a senior level and requires experience. Responsibilities of a Principal Master Planner include performing and leading the following:
  • Developing compliant program schedules constructed with the necessary level of detail and logic such that the schedule is a valuable program management tool
  • Horizontal and vertical integration of program plans and schedules across company functional groups including finance, engineering, procurement, operations, manufacturing, and quality
  • Preparing regular Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) updates and reports for program management, customers, and/or business management personnel
  • Monitoring progress against scheduled activities and identifying performance variances to facilitate focus on critical areas as well as developing and implementing work-around or recovery plans
  • Analyzing schedules including critical & driving paths and risk & opportunity in compliance with Combat Vehicles, customer, and industry requirements
  • Timely preparation and submission of contract deliverables related to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Integrated Master Plan (IMP)
  • Ensuring that all schedules and contract deliverables are fully compliant with internal policies, customer, and industry requirements

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience. Work experience considered in lieu of formal education
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience with AcumenFuse, AcumenRisk, Milestones Pro, Oracle, and/or Cobra
  • Experience with program schedule forecasting and analysis, particularly in a US Defense of Defense (DoD) program environment
  • Thorough understanding of US DoD schedule policies and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) requirements
  • Willingness to challenge and improve knowledge of industry practices and standards as well as company policies
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $101398 - $172377
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
