About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Merchant Product Sales Consultant responsible for growing revenue by identifying and selling tailored payment solutions to a portfolio of government merchants. This consultative role requires a deep understanding of merchant services, strong relationship management, and a results-driven mindset to help merchants optimize their payment ecosystems and grow their business. This individual will lead the full sales lifecycle-from prospecting and needs assessment through solution design and deal close-while collaborating closely with Government Banking Relationship Managers/Bankers, Treasury Management partners, and internal implementation teams.
In this role, you will:
  • Drive business development of electronic receivables and merchant services solutions for government clients
  • Lead complex, cross-functional sales initiatives with broad market impact
  • Build strong internal partnerships to expand merchant services penetration and brand awareness
  • Execute consultative sales strategies aligned to client needs and revenue objectives
  • Present effectively to C-level client executives and internal senior leadership
  • Mentor and support less experienced sales professionals
  • Contribute to product enhancements and identify opportunities for business process improvements
  • Actively share market insights and collaborate within a high-performance team environment
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Business to Business (B2B) Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Merchant/payment processing and/or treasury management experience
  • Strong background in government banking, corporate banking, treasury, or financial services sales
  • Demonstrated success acquiring new clients and expanding existing relationships
  • Deep understanding of interchange, payment architecture, and merchant services risk exposure
  • Proven ability to manage the full merchant onboarding lifecycle
  • Skilled in building strong partnerships through effective collaboration, relationship management, and communication
  • Partner-driven sales approach with Government or Corporate Bankers and Treasury Management teams
Travel Expectation: up to 30%
This candidate will be expected to work onsite at one of the stated locations listed in the job posting on a hybrid schedule.
Relocation will not be supported by this role.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $224,000.00
