About RDC+

Realtor.com has connected home buyers and agents for 25 years. RDC+ is building what comes next: an AI-first collaboration platform that makes the working relationship between agents and buyers seamless from first search to closed deal. The core experiences have launched — this role is about refining, expanding, and elevating them.

The Role

You'll be the primary designer embedded with the RDC+ product team, spanning both the agent-facing platform and the consumer experience across iOS, Android, and web. Your work will range from leading design direction on specific surfaces to executing within established patterns on others — the balance shifts based on where the team's focus is.

This isn't a role where you hand off comps and move on. You'll shape features early alongside PMs and engineers, carry them through delivery, and stay close enough to the data to know when something needs to be revisited.

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end design on agent and consumer surfaces — research synthesis, IA, flows, UI, and UX copy
  • Lead design direction independently on some surfaces; execute within existing design system patterns on others
  • Partner with PMs from early problem framing through shipping, not just during the design phase
  • Collaborate with Consumer Design, UX Research, Content, and Design Systems teams to align experiences and avoid redundant solutions
  • Represent design in cross-functional rituals and product reviews — you'll be the design voice in the room, with leadership support as you grow into more strategic storytelling
  • Coordinate design deliverables across multiple squads without losing quality or consistency

The types of problems you'll work on: tour scheduling, offers flows, post-connection collaboration between agents and buyers, AI-assisted interactions, and cross-platform consistency between native and web.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

  • Senior to lead-level product design experience, with a portfolio that shows end-to-end ownership — not just polished UI
  • Strong interaction design, UX copy, and systems thinking across both mobile and web
  • Experience designing for complex, workflow-heavy tools — not just consumer apps
  • Comfortable operating before requirements are fully defined; you know how to bring focus to ambiguous problems without waiting for perfect inputs
  • Proven ability to collaborate with PMs and engineers as a true thought partner, not a downstream executor

Strong signal:

  • Experience designing for two distinct user types on a shared platform (e.g. marketplace, B2B2C, or prosumer tools)
  • Familiarity with AI-integrated UX patterns
  • Experience with MLS platforms or real estate workflows
  • Has worked on a lean team where you had to prioritize ruthlessly and still ship quality work

This role is probably not right for you if:

  • You prefer a single, stable surface with a fully defined design direction
  • You need a large design team around you to do your best work
  • You're primarily a visual/brand designer without deep interaction design and UX fundamentals

Growth Opportunities

This role has real room to grow. Depending on where you are and where you want to go, there's opportunity to deepen interaction and brand polish across touchpoints, contribute to design system evolution, improve cross-platform consistency, and take on a more strategic design leadership role over time. People management isn't defined yet — but it's not off the table.
