About the Team/Role

This Lead Product Manager, Identity & Access role sits within the Customer & Enterprise Experience organization and is responsible for driving WEX’s enterprise-wide identity strategy. This is a highly visible, board-level initiative focused on delivering a unified identity and single sign-on (SSO) experience across all WEX product lines. The role will define and execute a long-term vision for identity, ensuring secure, seamless, and scalable user experiences while reducing fraud risk. This individual will operate in a highly cross-functional environment, influencing stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams without direct authority.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Define and execute a long-term (5-year) identity and access strategy across all WEX lines of business

  • Lead the development of a unified identity platform enabling single sign-on and a single customer profile

  • Drive enterprise-wide identity initiatives spanning consumer identity, enterprise access management, and identity verification

  • Partner with product, engineering, security, and business leaders to align on identity roadmap and execution

  • Ensure successful migration and adoption of identity solutions across multiple product lines

  • Balance trade-offs between security, user experience, and delivery timelines

  • Lead roadmap execution for identity APIs, SDKs, and platform capabilities

  • Stay current on industry trends including biometric authentication, decentralized identity, and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)

  • Influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority

  • Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers across complex enterprise initiatives

Experience you’ll bring

  • 10+ years of professional experience spanning product management and/or engineering

  • Deep expertise in identity and access management (IAM/CIAM)

  • Experience working with identity platforms such as Okta

  • Strong technical acumen with ability to partner closely with engineering teams

  • Proven ability to operate in complex, cross-functional enterprise environments

  • Experience defining and driving product strategy at scale

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across organizations

  • Strong understanding of identity domains including consumer identity, enterprise access management, and identity verification

  • Familiarity with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and authentication methods (including biometrics)

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Experience in fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS environments

  • Prior experience building or scaling enterprise identity platforms

  • Experience working on fraud prevention or security-focused initiatives

  • Experience creating long-term product vision from early or ambiguous starting points

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s)

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
