Overview: 

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Performance Engineering Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead the evolution of our performance-focused test management tools, ensuring they meet the needs of some of the largest and most complex organizations worldwide. You will be responsible for enhancing our product offerings, driving a culture of continuous improvement, and mentoring a team of product managers to elevate the quality and performance of our portfolio. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Customer-Centric Innovation: Collaborate with Customers, UX, Engineering, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize the next set of performance improvements and feature enhancements in our test management solutions. 
  • Platform Excellence: Own key functional areas such as platform performance, analytics, and usability, ensuring that our clients derive maximum value from our tools. 
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams across our entire suite of products, working closely with Go-to-Market teams (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Support) to deliver high-performance solutions that address client needs and industry demands. 
  • Strategic Communication: Present the product vision, roadmap, and priorities to key stakeholders, including executive leadership, ensuring alignment and buy-in. 
  • Mentorship and Team Development: Mentor product managers and team members, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. 
  • Industry Leadership: Stay at the forefront of performance engineering trends, helping the organization adapt and innovate to stay competitive in the market. 
  • Customer Workshops: Lead customer workshops to understand client pain points, collect feedback, and drive the co-creation of performance solutions that align with their needs and goals. 
  • Industry Representation: Represent the company at key industry events, sharing insights, best practices, and product vision while strengthening our position as a thought leader in the performance engineering space. 

What You Need: 

Required Skills: 

  • Deep Product Management Expertise: 7+ years of experience in product management, particularly in performance engineering, SaaS, and software testing/developer tools. 
  • AI Product Experience: Lead dsicovery of AI features into our products to drive performance enhancements, optimize testing processes, and deliver innovative solutions for customers
  • Cloud and SaaS Expertise: Strong background in managing SaaS and cloud-based software solutions with an understanding of performance engineering principles. 
  • Client-Focused Strategy: Ability to design solutions that drive value for enterprise clients, with a keen understanding of the end-to-end customer journey from challenge to solution implementation. 
  • Leadership in Cross-Functional Environments: Proven track record of collaborating with diverse business teams (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, etc.) to deliver results in complex, high-stakes environments. 
  • Effective Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically across all levels of the organization, including C-suite, while also being comfortable having tough, candid conversations when necessary. 
  • Location Requirement: Willingness to work from our Austin, TX or Boston office 3 times per week. 

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

  • Performance Engineering Experience: Expertise in performance optimization, scaling, and load testing for large enterprise systems. 
  • Commercial Software Expertise: Experience in the design, development, and delivery of performance-driven software solutions. 
  • Problem-Solving and Creativity: Ability to approach challenges with a growth mindset, balancing innovation with practical, results-oriented solutions. 
  • Organizational Excellence: Excellent organizational, time-management, and project coordination skills. 
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally when needed. 
  • On-Premises Software Experience: Familiarity with on-premises software deployment is a plus.
