About Shipium

Shipium builds technical infrastructure for complex supply chains.

Modern operators turn to Shipium when they want to turn their supply chain into a strategic value driver. Shipium's platform provides cloud infrastructure and leading AI capabilities that optimize costs and scale automation.

We’re building tech that connects previously fragmented systems and automates complex supply chain decisions to deliver speed and value across operations.

Founded in 2019 by supply chain technology experts from Amazon and Zulily, the company is on a mission to help every eCommerce company provide its customers a great delivery experience while simultaneously reducing their costs to fulfill orders.

About the role

Shipium is looking for a Lead Product Manager to own our Product Discovery portfolio—encompassing Delivery Promise, Shipment Planning, and Fulfillment Engine. This is a high-leverage, senior individual contributor role designed for a leader who operates at the founder/executive level on strategy but possesses the technical "craft" to dive into the codebase, design tools, and data warehouse.

In this role, leverage comes from your depth of domain authority and tooling, not headcount. You will be the bridge between visionary strategy and technical reality, ensuring our roadmap is defensible, differentiated, and relentlessly focused on customer value.

What you'll do

Strategic Vision & Product Authority
  • Portfolio Ownership: Own the 1–3 year vision for multiple product lines, ensuring they connect into a coherent platform narrative.
  • Defensible Roadmapping: Maintain a structured roadmap that serves as a source of truth—integrated with Jira and financial realities (ARR/NRR)—rather than just a slide deck.
  • Ruthless Prioritization: Identify and de-prioritize non-differentiated work. Steer the team away from "anti-patterns" like unbenchmarked performance claims or generic AI features.
Hands-on Discovery & Prototyping
  • Prototype-Led Validation: Hedge product judgment by building interactive prototypes. Ensure design decisions transfer cleanly to engineering by maintaining mappings to production codebases.
  • Data Fluency: Query Amazon Redshift and S3 directly. We expect you to generate your own first-cut insights without depending on analytics partners for initial answers.
  • Persona Discipline: Maintain explicit personas for every product line and insist on persona alignment in every design and roadmap review.
Technical Partnership & GTM Support
  • GTM Synergy: Act as the first "product call" for Solutions Engineering on complex technical questions. Partner with Sales on high-stakes discovery calls and technical credibility moments.
  • Escalation Mastery: Partner with Customer Success on technical escalations. Investigate logs, APIs, and data to produce customer-facing deliverables that close the loop on issues.
  • Systematization: Turn one-off integration work into repeatable workflows, including data validators, runbooks, and intake checklists.
Influence & Mentorship
  • Executive Presence: Present trade-offs and strategies to founders and the board, framing decisions through both customer impact and financial multiples.
  • Uplift the Team: Mentor junior PMs and foster "product-thinking" across engineering teams through reusable frameworks and high-quality written artifacts (strategy memos, decision docs).
AI-Native Workflow

We expect our Lead PMs to view AI as a core piece of modern infrastructure. You should demonstrate the ability to use Claude or equivalent tools as a daily working surface to:

  • Build reusable agents, skills, or prompt patterns.
  • Automate multi-step research and documentation pipelines.
  • Integrate internal data and tools into AI workflows (e.g., MCP-based integrations).
  • Scale individual leverage rather than replacing human judgment.

Qualifications

  • The "Full Stack" PM: You are equally comfortable in a design tool, a SQL editor, and a board meeting.
  • Experience: Proven track record in B2B SaaS, preferably in API-first products with technical-buyer audiences.
  • Domain Depth: High "depth of craft" in logistics, supply chain, or complex distributed systems.
  • Communication: A preference for high-quality written documentation over unnecessary meetings.
  • Technical Chops: Proficiency in SQL and the ability to navigate logs and APIs to solve problems.
