We’re hiring a Lead Software Developer (internally titled 'Senior Software Developer, Group Lead') to guide a team building clinical trial software that prioritizes patient safety and the integrity of study data. In this role, you will manage a small group of developers, coordinate delivery, and serve as the point of contact for development requests—while staying hands‑on across design, coding, testing, and deployments.

We’re looking for a candidate that has a strong backend experience in C#/.NET and SQL, and demonstrated technical leadership. This remote-first role collaborates globally, specifically with our teams in Europe. Therefore, candidates that are based on the US East Coast are preferred. Responsibilities:
 

  • Design, develop, and support clinical trial software with emphasis on patient safety and integrity of clinical study data 
  • Review product requirements and verify that all requirements can be implemented  
  • Assist with the creation of technical design and implementation documentation 
  • Design and code software applications and fix defects 
  • Provide unit testing coverage for delivered code 
  • Work with others to ensure timely delivery of high-quality code 
  • Manage software deployment into all environments and complete all required documentation 
  • Assist support team with troubleshooting and resolution of production issues  
  • Manage a group of developers 
  • Oversee and coordinate all development tasks of the group 
  • Serve as main point of contact for all development-related requests and questions for the group 
  • Provide continued mentorship and support for group members 
  • Work with the group to provide task estimates 
  • Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality work 
  • Perform other related duties as required 

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree  in computer science mandatory 
  • Strong expertise in C#/ .Net and SQL and its related technologies (with focus on backend development), and solid understanding of its inner-workings 
  • Deep understanding of programming principles 
  • Ability to design, develop, and support software modules with medium to high complexity 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and learning capability 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrated technical leadership 

 

Experience: 

  • 10+ years of experience in software development 
  • 3+ years of experience in technical leadership
