The Fidelity Pointwise Team is seeking to add a Software Engineer to our product development team specifically in the area of computational geometry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Code, debug, test, and troubleshoot according to departmental standards, policies, and procedures throughout development.

  • Document development using code comments and technical specifications.

  • Analyze and review the code of others for defects, consistency, and reusability and suggest improvements.

  • Report and fix defects in all areas of the code.

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science with an emphasis on Computational Math or Geometry, or a related field from an accredited institution with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, a Master’s degree in a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. in a related field.

  • Experience with C++ programming is required.

  • Experience with computational techniques of discrete and/or analytic geometry is ideal.

  • Some experience with CFD is a plus.

  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and/or Mac computers.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, delivering clear and concise messaging.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize and prioritize.

  • Positive attitude, willingness to offer and execute ideas and solutions to enhance processes within an evolving environment.

  • Requires clearance under ITAR data handling.

  • Must be willing to relocate to Austin, TX (if not currently located in the area).
