This freelance role is fully remote. Candidates must be based in the United States or Canada.

The Role
As a Freelance UX Designer at Fantasy, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design meaningful, human-centered digital products and services for global audiences. You’ll create experiences that millions of people not only use — but genuinely enjoy.
You’ll partner with some of the world’s most forward-thinking organizations, including Netflix, Spotify, Asana, The Academy of Motion Pictures, Dolby, Ancestry, Salesforce, and more. Working across a range of industries and form factors — from automotive and travel to AI and voice interfaces — you’ll help define and deliver exceptional digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
• Guide and contribute to the design process from concept through delivery.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to create thoughtful, human-centered design solutions.
• Translate complex information into clear, actionable design directions.
• Develop product visions, feature sets, and roadmaps that balance user needs with business goals.
• Build and maintain scalable design systems that bring consistency and delight to global audiences.
• Collaborate across disciplines to align strategy and user experience.
• Identify opportunities to improve design processes and team collaboration.
• Lead presentations and discussions with clients and internal partners, communicating design thinking and rationale effectively.
• Build trusted relationships with clients through collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving.
• Contribute to a culture of inclusion, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
• A portfolio that demonstrates a range of digital products, services, or systems design work.
• Ability to demonstrate your process through wireframes, site maps, and flows.
• Approximately 7+ years of professional experience in UX or product design (or equivalent expertise).
• Proven ability to lead or contribute to teams that create human-centered digital experiences.
• Strong conceptual, strategic, and systems-thinking skills.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
• Commitment to designing inclusive and accessible digital experiences.
