  • Support negotiations on AI-driven technology agreements and emerging fintech legal issues
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, offer letters, restrictive covenants, and separation agreements
  • Advise Human Resources and Recruiting teams on employment law compliance, hiring practices, and performance management
  • Support internal workplace investigations and employee relations issues across the organization
  • Develop and maintain employee handbook policies aligned with state and federal requirements
  • As Farther onboards $9 billion in wealth advisors in H1 2026, provide ongoing employment law guidance and process documentation
  • Advise on litigation matters involving investment adviser representatives and restrictive covenant disputes nationwide
  • Support litigation management and coordination with outside counsel relationships
  • Provide legal analysis on restrictive covenant enforceability across different states
  • Support paralegal management and legal department workflow optimization
  • Advise on document management needs and support implementation of new systems
  • Support Form ADV filings, regulatory disclosures, and SEC/FINRA compliance requirements
  • Assist with corporate governance matters and corporate records maintenance
  • Conduct ongoing legal research on securities laws, data privacy regulations, and emerging fintech issues

The Ideal Match

  • JD from a top law school with 2-3+ years of relevant legal experience (or equivalent at high-growth tech/fintech)
  • Active bar membership in good standing
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with direction
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial and employment agreements
  • Demonstrated ability to balance legal risk with business objectives

Bonus Points

  • Experience at a top-tier law firm (Kirkland & Ellis, Latham & Watkins caliber)
  • Background in wealth management, fintech, or venture-backed companies
  • Knowledge of RIA regulations, SEC compliance, or employment law
  • Familiarity with restrictive covenant litigation or M&A transactions
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools for legal research and contract analysis
