Mixlab, a fast-growing veterinary pharmacy, is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Manager , to help scale our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) growth engine.

Our mission is simple: to provide exceptional care for animals and those who care for them through personalized products and exceptional experiences.

As we scale our pet parent audience, we’re investing in the infrastructure to turn new customers into loyal, long-term ones. This role owns Mixlab’s lifecycle and retention marketing end-to-end — from journey strategy and automation builds in Iterable, to the email and SMS campaigns that keep pet parents engaged between purchases. You’ll be working on a channel that has high potential, which means real ownership and real impact from day one.

This is a hands-on, execution-forward role. We’re looking for someone who has actually built lifecycle programs and who is as comfortable in a campaign builder as they are writing a subject line.

****** MUST BE LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES******

Responsibilities

    Lifecycle Strategy & Iterable Ownership

    • Own Mixlab’s lifecycle marketing program end-to-end, including strategy, journey architecture, build, QA and ongoing optimization

    • Audit existing Iterable journeys and identify gaps, redundancies and optimization opportunities

    • Design and build automated journeys across the full customer lifecycle: welcome, activation, refill, win-back, loyalty and more

    • Develop segmentation strategies that personalize messaging based on species, medication type, purchase behavior and customer lifecycle stage

    • Establish a testing cadence (subject lines, send times, content, offers) and use results to continuously improve performance

    • Lead the expansion of Iterable beyond marketing communications to include transactional communications, managing IP warming and ensuring deliverability best practices are in place as the platform scales

    • Monitor and report on lifecycle program performance (open rates, click rates, conversion, repeat purchase rate, churn) and bring insights to the Director of Growth Marketing

    • Email & SMS Campaign Execution

      • Write, design and produce B2C email and SMS campaigns across OTC promotions, refill moments, product launches, seasonal campaigns and one-off consumer initiatives — with limited creative support, so comfort owning the full production process is essential

      • Maintain Mixlab’s brand voice across all lifecycle touchpoints

      • Collaborate with the Growth Marketing Manager to incorporate UGC, testimonials and product content into campaigns where relevant

      • Partner with the Director of Growth Marketing on campaign planning and calendar alignment

      • Content & Copywriting

        • Own the end-to-end production of all consumer-facing email and SMS content — from writing copy to designing templates

        • Leverage AI tools to support and accelerate content production, ideation and campaign development

        • Analytics & Reporting

          • Track and report on lifecycle KPIs on a regular cadence, including journey performance, campaign results and contribution to retention metrics

          • Use Metabase and other BI tools to pull data and support performance analysis

          • Identify trends and surface actionable recommendations

Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience in lifecycle, retention or email marketing with hands-on experience building automations yourself (not managing an agency to do it)

    • Demonstrated proficiency in a marketing automation platform (Iterable strongly preferred; Klaviyo, Braze, or similar also considered)

    • Working knowledge of email deliverability, IP warming and channel infrastructure. You’ve stood up or scaled a marketing automation platform before

    • Strong copywriting skills. You can write a compelling subject line and a full nurture sequence without a lot of hand-holding

    • Hands-on email design experience. You’re comfortable owning the full production process from copy to send with minimal creative support

    • Fluency with AI tools as part of your day-to-day workflow. You use them to move faster and think better, not just as a novelty

    • Analytical enough to own your own reporting: comfortable pulling data, identifying what’s working and presenting findings clearly

    • Highly organized with strong project management instincts. You can manage multiple journeys, campaigns and priorities without dropping things

    • Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment where you’ve had to build from scratch

    • Collaborative mindset; you’re comfortable working cross-functionally and don’t need a big team to do great work
