About the role

The Linehaul Operations Sr. Specialist is responsible for managing multi-lane and multi-terminal linehaul execution, ensuring on-time network performance, cost efficiency, and compliance. This role plays a critical part in coordinating routing, dispatch, terminal operations, and carrier/vendor resources to deliver high-quality transport performance across the network.

What you'll do

  • Oversee multi-lane or multi-terminal linehaul execution, ensuring on-time departures/arrivals and SLA performance.
  • Monitor milestones, resolve exceptions quickly, and prevent recurring service failures.
  • Optimize routing, lane performance, and cost through data analysis and structured improvements.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, dispatch, vendors, and terminals to meet network goals.
  • Lead standardization of linehaul SOPs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Set execution standards and drive accountability across operational teams.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience in linehaul, FTL/LTL, or transportation network operations.
  • Strong skills in routing, lane optimization, TMS, Excel analytics, KPI tracking, and vendor control.
  • Knowledge of HOS, trailer planning, scheduling, and milestone integrity.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of leading cross-team communication and alignment.
