Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced RHEL Linux Administrator to join our Infrastructure & Cloud Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers (physical, virtual, and cloud-based).

  • Perform system administration tasks including patch management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

  • Implement and manage security best practices, including user access, firewalls, SELinux, and vulnerability remediation.

  • Monitor system performance and ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of Linux environments.

  • Manage storage, backups, disaster recovery, and system recovery planning.

  • Automate tasks using scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.).

  • Work with networking and security teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance.

  • Support application teams with deployment, upgrades, and configuration.

  • Document system configurations, policies, and procedures.

  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24x7 support for critical systems when required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3–5+ years of experience in Linux system administration, preferably RHEL.

  • Strong knowledge of RHEL 7/8/9 administration and troubleshooting.

  • Hands-on experience with automation/configuration tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

  • Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Experience with system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, etc.).

  • Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NFS, etc.).

  • RHCSA/RHCE certification strongly preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
