The Role

With $15 billion in assets under management, we’ve achieved significant growth through advisor recruitment and have expanded our business strategy to include practice acquisitions. Our technology platform enables us to serve clients more effectively and cost-efficiently, offering advisors who join Farther as employees a high payout of wealth advisory fees while maintaining low personnel costs for acquired practices.

This role combines M&A expertise and execution excellence to drive Farther’s acquisition strategy within the RIA space. You will be responsible for evaluating and executing M&A opportunities with retiring advisors and RIA firms.

Your Impact

  • Support end-to-end M&A processes across target identification, due diligence, deal execution, and integration
  • Assist in developing and refining Farther’s acquisition go-to-market strategy by working with internal teams and external sourcing partners
  • Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and committee memoranda to support investment decisions
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential acquisitions, synthesizing findings into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Help structure and negotiate deal terms under the guidance of senior leadership, gaining hands-on transaction experience
  • Support post-merger integration efforts, coordinating across operations, finance, legal, and compliance to drive smooth transitions
  • Contribute to building Farther’s industry presence by engaging with prospective sellers and RIA networks

The Ideal Match

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate development, or private equity
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
  • Solid understanding of finance principles and deal construction
  • Proven track record in executing M&A transactions
  • Excellence in relationship building and stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate persuasively and discuss economics with potential sellers
  • Resilient and results-oriented approach

Bonus Points

  • Previous experience at an RIA aggregator
  • Direct experience with succession planning for financial advisors
  • Experience with post-merger integration
  • Industry experience (1+ years of fintech)
