Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced M365 SharePoint Subject Matter Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, in-depth knowledge of SharePoint and the Power Platform, and the ability to act as a technology lead. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate effectively with various departments and drive the successful implementation and management of SharePoint solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all SharePoint-related matters within AMEC.
  • Improve the design, implementation, and maintenance of SharePoint sites and solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop customized SharePoint solutions that meet business needs.
  • Provide expert guidance on SharePoint best practices, governance, security, and purview.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions and documentation to ensure effective use of SharePoint by end-users.
  • Act as a technology lead, overseeing the integration of SharePoint with other M365 applications and the Power Platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SharePoint and Power Platform features and updates, and proactively recommend improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a SharePoint Subject Matter Expert or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2013/2016/2019, and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with SharePoint governance, security, and compliance.
  • Ability to act as a technology lead and drive the successful implementation of SharePoint solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals) are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and other M365 applications.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint migration tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell.
  • Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development.
  • Understanding of SharePoint integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI.
  • Ability to create and manage SharePoint workflows using Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and web services integration.
  • Strong expertise in SharePoint security, governance, and purview.
