What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and manage the Security Operations and Incident Response team, ensuring effective monitoring, investigation, and resolution of security alerts and incidents.

  • Actively participate in high-priority incident response efforts, guiding containment, eradication, and recovery activities.

  • Develop and implement processes for root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence of incidents.

  • Design and drive improvements in detection and response workflows, including automation, runbooks, and SOPs.

  • Identify and strengthen cybersecurity tooling and visibility to enhance threat detection and prevention capabilities.

  • Integrate threat intelligence into operational processes and ensure the team is equipped to respond to emerging threats.

  • Collaborate with IT, Security Architecture, and Business teams to align response strategies and improve organizational resilience.

  • Oversee the development of incident and metric reporting to improve visibility, accountability, and executive communication.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring team members and developing their technical and analytical skillsets.

  • Lead readiness activities such as tabletop exercises, playbook reviews, and cross-functional coordination to ensure preparedness.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Requirements

US citizenship

  • Batchlor Degree

  • Leadership experience – managing a team and talent development.

  • 8+ years experience with incident response, monitoring and responding to alerts and dealing with all things cyber security & response.

  • Proven leadership experience in Security Operations and Incident Response, with a strong background in managing technical teams.

  • Extensive hands-on expertise with modern cybersecurity tools including EDR, SIEM, firewalls, WAF, identity platforms, and cloud security.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to guide teams through complex investigations and process improvements.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive action and influence outcomes across fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

  • Experience integrating threat intelligence into operational workflows and developing proactive detection strategies.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into business-relevant insights.

  • Track record of developing and mentoring cybersecurity professionals, fostering growth and team cohesion.

  • Experience building and optimizing incident response playbooks, runbooks, and automation pipelines.

  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, adapting to evolving threats and business needs.

  • Strong team-first mindset with a passion for building resilient, high-performing security operations capabilities.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $112,000 – 150,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
