About the Role: 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst Manager for the Data Science team. 

 

Essential experience: 

  • 10+ years hands-on analyzing and reporting on data. 
  • Experience partnering with data scientists to enable the data scientists to rapidly exploretest, and deploy AI/ML models. 
  • Experience managing 1-3 data analysts as direct reports. 

 

The work: 

  • Hybrid of individual contributor and leader/manager of two other analysts who support the business and the data science team. 
  • Be the expert on the data science team for all data: what it means from a business perspective and its quality and reliability. 
  • Build automated reports and dashboards. 
  • Complete ad-hoc analyses supporting data science and limited support for other teams consuming data science products. 
  • Exploratory data analyses (EDA), giving data science a head start. 
  • Take descriptions of analytic goals, question and refine requirements, and scope appropriately to enable rapid delivery. 
  • Define analytic processes and create automation/templates to make analysis scale. 
  • Present results verbally and in writing. 
  • Partner with our dedicated Product Manager to prioritize and manage work for the analysts. 
  • Develop and implement with your team a technical plan for supporting data scientists. 
  • Grow your own skills and the skills of the other analysts, to use the latest methods and tools including AI-based tools. 

 

Skills: 

  • Question assumptions and bring clarity to ambiguity. 
  • Initiative: Anticipate and identify gaps, don’t just take tickets. 
  • Preferred: experience with health care-related data. 

 

The technical skills: 

  • Expert in SQL and Tableau. 
  • Experience with Spark or other big data processing tools. 
  • Preferred: SnowflakePythondbt. 
  • Experience in one or more cloud environments. 

 

Work at Home Requirements:  

  • A quiet, distraction-free environment to work from. 
  • A secure internet connection with consistent speeds >20 Mbps for downloads and >10 Mbps for uploads is required.  
  • The workspace area accommodates all workstation equipment and related materials and provides adequate surface area to be productive.
