Summary:

We’re looking for a strong player-coach manager or tech lead with managerial experience to join our Enterprise Decision Science team at ZipRecruiter. You'll be part of a passionate group focused on delivering impactful insights and driving value for our Enterprise customers.

You’ll spend the majority of your time owning and driving projects independently, and also lead a small, high-performing team to provide technical guidance and help stakeholder management. This role is pivotal in guiding the analytical function and partnering cross-functionally to inform key product and business decisions with data-driven insights.

Key Focuses:

  • Serve as the trusted partner and leader for Enterprise stakeholders through a deep understanding of the products and business. 
  • Enable data-driven decisions through deep dive, analysis, experimentation, causal inference, and modeling.  
  • Take ownership of projects and deliver excellent oral and written presentations. 
  • Inspire, mentor, and grow decision scientists on your team and beyond
  • Proactively identify new opportunities to drive Enterprise customer value. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, related technical field or equivalent professional experience
  • 6+ years of professional experience in decision science, business analytics, data science, software engineering, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience managing a team
  • Intensive hands-on experience building actionable insight, A/B testing or observational study, using data to influence product strategy and roadmap
  • In-depth engagement with cross-functional teams and building relationships
  • Expert in SQL and one analytics programming language (Python or R), and data visualization tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS/MA in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, related technical field or equivalent professional experience
  • Ads experience or sponsored jobs in bidding system desirable
  • Domain knowledge in practical A/B testing and causal inference
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $172,500-$225,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.

Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
