The Manager, Engagement & Internal Communications is a key leadership role that will drive the strategy and execution of employee experiences and recognition programs that enhance the overall employee lifecycle. This position will oversee all aspects of employee experience, including awards and recognition programs, organizational culture initiatives, and employee experience communications. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure that employee engagement is integrated into organizational processes and systems.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies and cultural initiatives to enhance the employee experience throughout their YETI lifecycle, inclusive of employee recognition and awards, internal events and experiences, and employee communications. Specifically:

  • Employee Experiences, Recognition & Awards Programs:

    • Lead and manage all awards processes, including overseeing calls for nominations and winner announcements.

    • Revamp and maintain policies and procedures for award programs.

    • Project and program management related to the execution of award ceremonies and employee celebrations (dates, locations, approvals, communications), partnering with the Facilities team for onsite event execution at HQ.

    • Brainstorm and manage ERG (Employee Resource Group) celebrations, partnering with Organizational Development to bring initiatives to life

    • Collaborate with the Talent team to ensure that all awards and experience programs are data-driven and aligned with employee needs.

  • Event Strategy & Program Management:

    • Strategy, program oversight and project management of all annual awards ceremonies and seasonal celebrations (Trailblazers, Seasonal Event [Holiday Party or Fall Fest]) inclusive of communications, date coordination and approval, location recommendations and management of event execution in partnership with Events team.

    • Collaborate with the Events team for logistics, location recommendations, and ensuring successful event execution for key annual awards ceremonies and seasonal celebrations.

    • Manage the internal events budget, including budget planning for key engagement events (annual awards ceremonies, seasonal celebrations, employee events, etc.)

  • Employee Communications & Engagement:

    • Develop and maintain the monthly Stand Up decks and quarterly All Hands presentations, ensuring clarity, engagement, and alignment with organizational goals.

    • Lead the creation of monthly employee newsletters that keep staff informed and engaged.

    • Develop and execute the LinkedIn content calendar to enhance employer branding and internal engagement.

  • Global Expansion Cultural Integration:

    • Develop and execute integration communications materials to ensure smooth transitions and alignment of new employees with core values and culture.

  • Internship Program:

    • Design and execute an engaging and impactful internship program, providing students with valuable learning experiences and integrating them into the organizational culture.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

  • 8+ years of experience working in communications, employee engagement and/or program management, with management experience a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, executive presence, a proven ability to influence others and proven experience working cross functionally.

  • Prior experience working directly with Senior Leaders and EA teams.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, and the ability to design impactful, clear and visually appealing presentations and communications materials

  • Excellent organization, project, and time management skills.

  • Positive, can-do attitude with high propensity for collaboration and ownership

  • Strong experience working quickly but efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities.

  • Proven ability to learn and respond quickly to organizational needs, demonstrating resiliency in various situations and the ability to adapt quickly to the changing needs of the business.

  • Ability to manage up, down and sideways while maintaining varying deadlines and a strong sense of professionalism throughout.
