ERISA Team Leader

July Business Services (JULY) is seeking an individual for ERISA Team Leader. In this role, you will lead all aspects of the JULY ERISA department including: the production of ERISA projects, providing technical support and managing the ERISA team members.  You will put your extensive retirement plan knowledge into action to serve as the primary escalation point for ERISA team members and other JULY employees regarding ERISA technical matters.

  • Monitor all aspects of ERISA production to ensure accurate and timely completion of plan documents, amendments, notices, plan DOL or IRS audits as applicable, QDRO projects and EPCRS projects
  • Coordinate, establish a process, and schedule to manage all aspects of required plan restatements and interim amendment projects
  • Monitor new ERISA laws and regulations and work with team members as requested to implement operational changes
  • Serve as an escalation to the ERISA and other JULY teams for complex ERISA matters such as controlled groups, merger and acquisitions, EPCRS, and plan document and amendment questions
  • Manage all ERISA team members to ensure KPIs are met
  • Serve as backup to Vice President of Plan Consulting on escalations and support to the JULY Sales Team and other issues as needed
  • Maintain documentation on client projects and responses within JULYs software

  • 5+ Years of Qualified Retirement Plan Document / ERISA technical experience
  • Ability to explain complex ERISA and EPCRS matters in a clear and understandable manner
  • Professional and concise verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Exceptionally organized individual who juggles multiple projects with minimal oversight 
  • In depth, hands-on experience with the preparation and review of legal plan documents
  • Can do, client focused attitude who thrives on accountability, credibility, and trustworthiness 
  • Positive problem solving attitude
