Detailed Description
Supervise shipping and receiving associates to ensure efficient daily operations
Communicate with global districts to coordinate shipping needs and requirements
Determine and ensure compliance with country-specific shipping protocols and regulations
Communicate daily and weekly shipping requirements with shipping and receiving teams
Review, manage, and maintain active contracts with freight, courier, and hot shot providers in partnership with the Supply Chain Manager
Work closely with manufacturing teams to prioritize and execute hot shipments in a timely manner
Oversee employee timecards and ensure accuracy prior to manager approval
Ensure compliance with all safety policies, company procedures, and operational guidelines
Set a strong example by adhering to company policies and best practices
Participate in all required meetings, training, and development activities
Ability to communicate, including the ability to read, write, and speak English and promptly follow verbal and written directions in English
Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines in a fast-paced logistics environment
Comfortable with public speaking and cross-functional communication
Ability to operate standard shop hand tools, equipment, and hoists safely
Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required or 5 years of experience in a logistics environment
Prior experience supervising or leading logistics, shipping, or receiving teams preferred
Familiarity with freight carriers, courier services, and international shipping processes preferred
Additional Details
This position operates in an office and shop environment and may require extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Physical requirements include the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, along with good finger dexterity and visual acuity. Overtime may be required on a regular basis to meet operational demands. The Logistics Manager must maintain a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service while supporting business objectives.
