About Engine
Engine is the all-in-one travel and spend management platform trusted by 38K+ businesses and groups representing 1.8M+ travelers. We're the retailer and the rails of business travel, one of the fastest-growing companies in travel tech, built on a decade of proprietary technology, supply, and pricing no one else can replicate. Other travel and AI companies run on our infrastructure to book real trips, hold rates, and move payments, without building any of it themselves. We built it, AI-forward at every layer, from how travelers book to how the rails run.
That work has earned recognition as one of Fast Company's Best Workplaces for Innovators (2025), TravelTech's Reservation Platform of the Year (2026), and one of Built In's Best Places to Work (2020–2026).
We're looking for bold, ambitious people to help redefine how businesses manage and experience travel. Working here, you can expect exponential growth, an ambitious pace, full ownership, and high-caliber colleagues who push you to do the best work of your career. Every hire raises the bar.

Come outpace the ordinary and build the future of travel with us.

Your Mission

As part of the Engine team, you'll play a vital role in an environment where innovation meets collaboration. Engine X is a startup inside a platform, and the motion is still being built. Here's what you'll take charge of:

  • Drive Card Adoption Across Your Territory: Own a defined book of business, converting existing Engine customers and net-new logos into active Engine X cardholders who spend. You carry a number and are accountable to it.
  • Lead and Develop a Team of AEs: Manage a team of Account Executives focused on Engine X. Run pipeline reviews, coach to the motion, identify performance gaps, and hold a high bar for execution.
  • Sell as a Genuine Player-Coach: Stay close enough to deals to model the pitch, handle objections, and close alongside your reps. In the early stages of the build, your personal execution sets the standard for the team.
  • Build Pipeline and Represent the Field: Develop and maintain a healthy, qualified pipeline across inbound and outbound channels with forecasting rigor, and surface patterns from the field (common objections, product gaps, buyer signals) back to the Sr. Sales Director and product teams to sharpen the motion.
What You'll Bring to Engine

We're looking for someone who's ready to make an impact and grow alongside us:

  • Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience selling corporate card or spend management products to SMB or mid-market buyers, including 1+ year leading a team of Account Executives. Generalist fintech experience without direct card sales is not a substitute.
  • Skills: You're a frontline sales leader who coaches to a high standard, runs disciplined pipeline reviews, and moves fast on underperformance, and you thrive in fast-paced environments where the playbook is still being written.
  • Tech-Savvy: Fluent in the corporate card sale: card economics, activation rates, interchange, spend velocity, and the CFO buyer's calculus. Bonus points for strong SFDC hygiene and comfort building forecasting rhythm from scratch.
  • Mindset: You're a genuine player-coach who leads from inside the deals rather than from a distance, and you're data-driven enough to know which metrics matter, how to read a pipeline for real signal, and when to trust your gut versus when to go back to the numbers.

Applications for this role will be accepted through December 22, 2026 or until the role is filled. We encourage you to apply early, as we may begin reviewing applications before the deadline.
