Role Scope:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Sales Forecasting Manager experienced in leading driver-based approach to forecasting, leveraging shipment, depletions and retail sales data as well as category and competitive data with proven capability in supporting transformation to design and implement new forecasting capabilities covering process design, definition of data standards, development of forecast models, and information technology. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop shipment sales and depletions forecasts
  • Maintain and report out of forecasting Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Lead analysis & developing insights across multiple data streams including: shipments, depletions and retail sales vs forecasts to support guidance for demand review clinics
  • Support the Senior Manager, Sales Forecasting to prepare for the monthly Demand Review
  • Lead sales forecasting for innovation projects with Sales, Marketing, Strategy & Product Development throughout Commercialization Stage-Gate process
  • Support Commercial Trade Planning in the analysis of sales and marketing program performance to improve trade forecast accuracy
  • Work cross-functionally with operations & Sales Analytics teams to ensure alignment on network distribution shipment forecasting 

Qualification Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Management Sciences, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Research, or a related field preferred 
  • A minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in a relatable CPG demand forecasting role with additional expertise and background in:
    • Assumption driver-based forecasting and application in supply chain and integrated business planning required
    • Forecasting model optimization and use of technology required 
    • Comprehensive knowledge of sales forecast drivers for Distribution (DSD) and Amazon 3P channels preferred
  • Sales forecasting experience in Fast Moving Consumer Packaged Goods company, (preferably beverages category experience) and supporting Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) are required 
  • Strong knowledge of sales forecasting software and ERP systems required (e.g. experience with NetSuite, VIP, Circana / Nielsen and Vividly or other Trade Spend tool)
  • Advanced Excel skills required (Lookups, logic statements, charting, power queries/ power pivots) required
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams required
  • Previous experience and excitement about leaning in to continuous improvement work 
  • Previous fast-paced start-up business environment experience preferred where multi-tasking and juggling competing priorities was critical to driving results
  • Willingness to adapt and evolve new technologies and systems 
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% 

The typical salary range for this position is: $98,000 - $113,000

The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes equity and benefits.
