Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Application Engineering Manager to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of HPC account support strategies for 93k products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ATE systems, test development, and engineering management, and will be responsible for managing a team of application engineers to ensure customer support, test coverage, and time-to-market goals are met.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage a team of application engineers in developing and deploying test programs for high-volume production with our customers.
- Generate project plans for projects and well manage the project schedule
- Perform as a good communicator, listener and customer decision influencer.
- Define and execute test strategies and roadmaps aligned with product and business goals.
- Oversee test hardware (load boards, probe cards, interface hardware) and software development for 93k.
- Collaborate closely with customer, sales, BD/MKT, COE and R&D teams to define product strategies and ensure testability.
- Own and monitor KPIs related to test development and production quality.
- Ensure timely support for new product introductions (NPIs) and transitions to high-volume manufacturing.
- Manage ATE infrastructure, tools, and vendor relationships.
- Support root cause analysis of test escapes, false failures, and yield issues.
- Lead hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development for the test engineering team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in ATE test engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Hands-on experience with ATE platforms such as 93k, UFlex+/Eagle/J750, or similar.
- Proven expertise in test program development, debugging, and validation.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, DFT techniques, and failure analysis.
- Experience with scripting/programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python, Perl).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in managing teams across geographies is a plus.
Additional Skills Preferred (but not required):
- Experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ISO, JEDEC, or automotive (AEC-Q100) quality standards.
- Experience with PAC, mixed-signal or RF testing is a strong plus.
