Position SummaryThe Senior Manager of Strategic Distribution Sales is responsible for developing and executing growth strategies across major industrial distribution partners. This role leads strategic account management, expands market share, and strengthens executive-level relationships with key distributors to drive profitable revenue growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute strategic business plans for major distribution partners.
Build and maintain executive-level relationships to drive long-term growth.
Identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts.
Negotiate national agreements, pricing strategies, and long-term contracts.
Lead annual business reviews and strategic growth sessions with key accounts.
Partner cross-functionally with product management, operations, supply chain, and customer service to ensure best-in-class support.
Monitor market trends and competitive activity to refine strategic plans.
Drive new product introductions and promotional initiatives through distribution channels.
Provide leadership and mentoring to regional sales managers and distributor sales teams.
Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting.
Approximately 40% to 60%, depending on account coverage needs.
Qualifications10+ years of progressive industrial sales experience, with at least 5 years in a people leadership role.
Deep knowledge of fluid power and hydraulic systems.
Proven success managing national or strategic distributor relationships.
Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and team leadership abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.
