Job Summary:
Will be responsible for supporting Actuarial Leadership.

 

Essential Functions:
The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned
Managing Actuaries typically manage one or more direct reports and are responsible for their team’s work, reviews, and development, as well as being responsible for producing their own work
Managing Actuaries participate in the Actuarial Rotation program which provides the opportunity to rotate to a different team every 3-4 years. Rotations can be internal (core Actuarial, such as Commercial/Medicare pricing and reserves) or external (non-Actuarial teams with Actuarial-related work, such as Segment, Value-Based Provider Analytics, Financial Performance and Analysis, Pharmacy Analytics, etc.)
Support pricing, trend analytics, gross margin reporting, and financial reporting related to ACA, Medicare, Group, Reserves, Segment, and other teams
Actuarial representation on cross-functional workgroups as an active participant
Open to remote or in-person candidates
Required Experience:
4+ years related, successful, progressive professional work experience
Math/Statistics or related Bachelor's degree required 
Current and active Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
Background in health insurance field
Strong communication
Proficient in Excel, SAS, and SQL 
Preferred Qualifications:
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
Health pricing and/or reserving experience
SAS and/or SQL expertise
Experience independently managing projects and/or people
General Physical Demands:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

To support your financial wellbeing, we offer competitive pay as well as opportunities for incentive or commission compensation. We also conduct regular annual reviews with pay for performance considerations for base pay increases.

Annualized Salary Range: $109,300 - $177,600

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $130,000 - $170,000

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
