Job Purpose
Prepares production schedules. Establishes sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion dates.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Date manages new orders as per procedure
· Revise pick date, ship date and ship date as per production meetings
· Raise work order, communicate with production/workshop/buyers/machine shop to ensure all necessary work is completed
· Identify key list of orders and chase up with buyers and planners on these daily
· Communicate with vendors for key purchase order items as well
· Any other tasks requested by the planning supervisor/manager or the manufacturing manager
Experience & Education
REQUIRED
· 1-3 years planning/scheduling experience in an MRP-driven manufacturing environment.
· College degree in business or technical discipline
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
REQUIRED
· Strong organization and time-management skills.
· Ability to work as part of cross-functional teams.
· Good understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)
· Good communication skills (oral and written). Ability to effectively interface and collaborate with all departments to ensure positive results.
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
