Binance offerings range from trading and finance to education, research, payments, institutional services, Web3 features, and more. We leverage the power of digital assets and blockchain to build an inclusive financial ecosystem to advance the freedom of money and improve financial access for people around the world.

As the Market Data Lead at Binance, you will build and lead the market data function for the next phase of our Traditional Finance (TradFi) expansion. You will own the strategy, sourcing, licensing, and integration of the exchange and vendor data that underpins our new TradFi offerings — from real-time feeds to reference and historical data. Working across product, engineering, legal, and finance, and with exchanges and data vendors globally, you will build the data foundation the TradFi program needs to launch and scale.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the market data strategy and roadmap for the TradFi program: identify, evaluate, and prioritize the exchange and vendor data required for the next phase of TradFi products.

  • Lead sourcing and commercial negotiations with exchanges, consolidators, and market data vendors; own licensing agreements (display / non-display, per-user, enterprise), renewals, and the overall data spend.

  • Drive end-to-end data integration with engineering: feed onboarding, normalization, symbology and reference data, corporate actions, and distribution to trading and client-facing surfaces.

  • Build governance across the data lifecycle: entitlements management, data-quality monitoring, lineage, and compliance with exchange usage policies and audit requirements.

  • Partner with product, legal, and compliance on data licensing and redistribution terms as the TradFi roadmap expands into new products, markets, and regions.

  • Maintain a live view of the market data landscape — new sources, vendors, partnership models, and pricing — to keep the stack best-in-class and cost-efficient.

  • Build and mentor a small, growing market data team; establish the operating cadence with product and engineering.

  • Act as the in-house expert on TradFi market data and market structure, translating exchange and vendor conventions for crypto-native teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 6–10 years of market data or trading-technology experience at a global online brokerage, exchange, fintech, or market data vendor, with a track record of standing up or scaling market data for trading platforms.

  • Deep knowledge of the market data ecosystem: exchange feeds and vendor products, licensing and redistribution models, entitlements, and exchange audit / compliance processes.

  • Hands-on experience sourcing and integrating market data across one or more TradFi asset classes (equities, derivatives, commodities, fixed income, FX, indices) and regions.

  • Solid understanding of market data technology and reference data: feed protocols, normalization, symbology standards, corporate actions, and time-series distribution.

  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills; experience owning vendor relationships and a data budget.

  • Excellent stakeholder management across product, engineering, legal, and finance; able to move fluently between technical and commercial conversations.

  • Comfortable building from zero to one in a fast-paced, high-velocity environment.

  • Preferred Skills:

  • Experience standing up a market data function at a brokerage launching new asset classes or entering new markets.

  • Broad knowledge of the APAC, US, and European market data landscapes and exchange policies.

  • Technical fluency (SQL / Python; familiarity with common feed protocols and data architectures).

  • Familiarity with market data and trading products.
