About Aspora

People on the move deserve a bank that moves with them. Since 2022, Aspora has been building a borderless financial operating system that makes money as mobile and transparent as its users.

Backed by influential venture capitalists like Sequoia Capital, Greylock Partners, Hummingbird Ventures, Y Combinator & Global Founders Capital. We're a team of 75+ across India, the UK, the UAE, EU and the US, working with extreme ownership, radical candour, and an obsession with customer impact.

We celebrate builders who question assumptions, ship fast, and turn regulatory complexity into elegant solutions. If you’re driven to redefine what global banking can be, we’d love to build the future with you.

About the Role

You will work directly with the Founder & CEO to lead Aspora’s market expansion initiatives. From identifying and assessing new diaspora/local markets to setting up full-scale operations. This is a high-impact, high-ownership role at the center of Aspora’s growth strategy, combining strategic market scoping with hands-on market launch execution.

Your mandate will include market research, regulatory and legal enablement, infrastructure setup, and operational readiness to ensure Aspora’s successful entry and sustainable growth in new geographies. You will also be responsible for developing the value proposition, ideal customer profiles (ICP), and product roadmap, collaborating with the product team for product development and testing, and working closely with the growth team for branding and market launches. You will collaborate closely with all internal teams (Product, Growth, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Partners, Investors, etc.) as well as external stakeholders (regulators, banking partners, vendors) to deliver end-to-end market launches.

We’re looking for someone who can think like a strategist and execute like an operator, navigating ambiguity, building from zero to one, and ensuring that every new market is set up for long-term success.

What you’ll own

  • Market Scoping & Strategy

    • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize diaspora markets based on opportunity size, competitive landscape, and regulatory feasibility

    • Conduct deep-dive market research covering customer segments, local partners, compliance requirements, and payment infrastructure

    • Develop business cases and go-to-market plans with clear financial and operational projections

  • Market Launch Execution

    • Lead the end-to-end setup of new markets, including regulatory approvals, licensing, banking partner onboarding, payment infrastructure, and compliance frameworks

    • Coordinate with Legal and Compliance teams to meet local laws and ensure operational readiness

    • Establish relationships with key partners, vendors, and government agencies to enable smooth market entry

  • Cross-Functional Leadership

    • Act as the bridge between product, engineering, marketing, operations, and compliance to align launch activities with Aspora’s vision

    • Build launch roadmaps, set timelines, and manage execution to hit critical milestones

    • Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks and adapt plans to evolving market conditions

  • Performance Tracking & Market Optimization

    • Define and monitor KPIs for new market performance post-launch

    • Continuously analyze market data to refine strategies and drive sustainable growth

    • Implement scalable processes to replicate successful market entry playbooks in future expansions

  • Value Proposition & Product Strategy

    • Develop the value proposition and ICP for new markets, ensuring alignment with Aspora’s overall growth strategy

    • Collaborate with the product team to develop and test new products tailored to target markets

  • Branding & Market Launch Coordination

    • Partner with the growth team to develop branding strategies and execute market launches

    • Align product development and marketing efforts to ensure cohesive, impactful go-to-market strategies

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in market expansion, strategic operations, management consulting, investment banking, or similar high-growth environments.

  • Personal interest and knowledge of the Filipino diaspora

  • Proven track record of launching new markets, products, or geographies, ideally in fintech or regulated industries.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory, legal, and operational considerations in international expansion.

  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You are able to turn insights into actionable plans.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, comfortable engaging with regulators, partners, and internal stakeholders.

  • Hands-on, low-ego, high-energy operator who thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

Why Aspora?

  • Opportunity to drive expansion and growth in a fast-growing, international fintech scale-up

  • Highly competitive salary. Generous equity package aligned with seniority and impact

  • Full Private Healthcare

  • Professional development budget and learning stipends

  • Wellness benefits, team bonding initiatives, international team offsites
