Hi, I'm Kas Pawa, VP and Chief of Staff here at Jane. I lead several cross-functional initiatives at Jane, including our new Market Owner team. This team is all about keeping the customer at the center of everything we do. The Market Owner acts as a General Manager for a specific customer segment, deeply knowing the ins and outs of the customer experience and internally advocating for their customers across Jane's functions to ensure we are bringing the best of Jane to every customer. This role is open to a Senior Manager or Director.

Each Market Owner is the internal champion for their segment: obsessively tracking the metrics that matter, building deep customer understanding, and driving a coordinated strategy across our Customer, Marketing, and Product teams to improve outcomes in their market. They connect the dots across time horizons, from what's happening with customers right now, to how we show up in market over the next six months, to what we need to build over the next year.

Manual Therapy (including physical therapy, massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, and related disciplines) represents one of Jane's largest and most important segments. We're looking for someone who knows this world deeply, cares about the practitioners in it, and is ready to own the strategy and outcomes for it. If you're energized by ownership, deeply curious about customers, and excited to work at the intersection of strategy and execution, this role was built for you.

What Impact We're Looking for You to Make
  • Own the Manual Therapy market end-to-end. Set annual goals around key market metrics, obsessively track performance, and adjust strategy and tactics as needed to drive outcomes.

  • Build deep market and customer understanding. Develop and maintain a nuanced, research-backed view of manual therapy practitioner needs, workflows, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities that goes beyond what any single department can see.

  • Shape and execute go-to-market strategy. Partner with Marketing to define how Jane shows up in the manual therapy market, and work with the Customer team to translate strategy into on-the-ground execution.

  • Be the voice of the market internally. Represent manual therapy practitioners across Product, Marketing, and Customer teams. Bring a clear, evidence-based point of view on product-market fit and advocate for the roadmap priorities that will move the needle.

  • Balance strategy across three time horizons. Align with the Customer team on immediate needs, inform Marketing programs on a now/3/6-month horizon, and help shape longer-term Product priorities.

  • Surface emerging opportunities and hypotheses. Identify partnership ideas, unmet needs, and new growth vectors in the manual therapy space and help chase them down.

  • Represent Jane in the market. Attend key industry events, conferences, and community touchpoints in the manual therapy space to build trust, deepen relationships, and strengthen Jane's position.

What Experience We Need
  • 5+ years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in a market strategy, general management, or GM-type role where you owned outcomes across a business segment

  • Proven ability to build a point of view from incomplete data. You can structure a market analysis, make a clear recommendation, and communicate it to senior stakeholders without needing every answer first

  • Comfortable setting goals around metrics, diagnosing what the numbers are telling you, and adjusting strategy accordingly

  • Experience shaping go-to-market strategies from the ground up. You've identified where to play, defined how to win, and worked cross-functionally to bring a plan to life with measurable outcomes you can point to

  • Experience working across Marketing, Product, and Customer teams. You know how to drive execution through teams you don't own and have a track record of doing it well

  • Externally-facing by nature. You've represented a company in market, built trust with a community or customer base, and understand that the best intelligence comes from being in the room

  • Strong communication skills. You can distill complex market dynamics into clear narratives that align teams and move decisions forward

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a bias toward action. You can operate effectively when the playbook isn't fully written and know how to make progress with incomplete information

Compensation

This role is open to a Senior Manager or Director. Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, which represents $191,000 for a Senior Manager and $223,200 for a Director.
