Job Description :

Education:   

Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in communications, marketing/advertising, or journalism

Related Work Experience and Other Skills:

At least two years of copywriting experience, a strong grasp of the English language with excellent writing, spelling, and grammatical skills.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with experience writing for SEO. Experience with an inbound marketing product, such as Hubspot, Eloqua, or Marketo is preferred. Experience in project management software such as Wrike. Experience in social media management tool Sprout. Experience or ability to learn to update websites / CMS preferred. Demonstrates strategic thinking, creative problem solving and strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrates initiative, works well in groups and independently.  Ability to meet deadlines. Healthcare experience not required, but a plus.

       

Job Roles (job duties that will appear on performance appraisal. Recommend no more than 10 job duties.)

Duty 1: Writing and editing content for Methodist Medical Group marketing pieces and external communications, working with creative agency produce print and digital content. Should be proficient in writing for SEO for website copy.

Duty 2: Building and maintaining physician profiles for Methodist Health System’s website, utilizing web vendor’s CMS tool.

Duty 3: Help maintain physician referral directory. Review content regularly, gather information to keep it updated, relay information to freelancer and send for review and approvals.

Duty 4: Review online reputation management via notifications from vendor. Respond with approved messaging and forward reviews as needed to patient experience team.

Duty 5: Manage and write internal communications, including newsletters, medical group employee communications, and intranet copy.

Duty 6:Assists at and plans public-facing events ranging from hosting clinic ribbon cuttings to participating at community festivals.

Duty 7: Work with photographers to schedule and manage new provider photo shoots. Coordinate proof selection with providers. Help maintain physician photography and logo files.

Duty 8: . Various administrative duties, such as processing vendor invoices, ordering department supplies, scheduling meetings, and other organizational tasks.

Duty 9: Other duties as assigned, in support of MMG.

Duty 10: Must be willing to work some weekend and evening hours for marketing and community events.
