The Marketing Director – Life Sciences is responsible for leading and elevating the organization’s global marketing strategy and brand presence within the Life Sciences sector. This role drives integrated marketing initiatives across digital marketing, thought leadership, demand generation, communications, social media, and AI-enabled marketing innovation to support business growth and market positioning. The individual serves as a strategic and execution-focused leader who partners cross-functionally with executive leadership, sales, and operational teams to strengthen brand awareness, pipeline generation, and overall industry visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and messaging strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives, brand positioning, and business priorities to support business growth and market visibility within the Life Sciences sector.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership, sales, operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen the organization’s thought leadership presence, support pipeline generation, and drive strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing programs, including brand strategy, digital marketing, website optimization, SEO/SEM initiatives, social media engagement, demand generation campaigns, and strategic content development across multiple channels.
  • Translate complex scientific and technical concepts into compelling, differentiated, and audience-appropriate messaging while ensuring consistency, scientific credibility, and alignment across internal and external communications.
  • Oversee external communications initiatives, including media relations, partnerships, conferences, trade shows, sponsorships, speaking engagements, and industry visibility activities to maximize brand awareness, thought leadership opportunities, and lead generation outcomes.
  • Utilize analytics, reporting tools, and AI-enabled marketing technologies to enhance campaign targeting, personalization, workflow efficiency, content generation, performance tracking, and overall return on investment.
  • Influence marketing priorities, campaign investments, vendor relationships, and strategic initiatives while contributing to the organization’s long-term growth, market positioning, and business performance.

Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Life Sciences, Business, Communications, or related field required. (advanced degree (MBA, MSc, PhD, or related discipline) preferred)

Experience

  • 8–12+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, within Life Sciences, biotech, pharma, healthcare, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success leading brand strategy, digital marketing, demand generation, and communications initiatives.

  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities.
    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong storytelling, branding, and content development expertise.
  • Demonstrated success with digital marketing and social media strategy.
  • Proficiency with AI-enabled marketing tools and emerging marketing technologies.
  • Experience within Life Sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical communications industries.
  • Experience supporting global marketing initiatives and cross-regional teams.
  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and AI-powered content platforms.

Additional Details
Approximately 15–25% travel depending on conference, client, and business needs.
