Salt Security is the original API Security vendor pioneering the market as the first vendor in 2018.  Since then we have exhibited hyper-growth in a number of customers, threats stopped, and revenue.  We saw API security as the security battleground of the future years ago as APIs started to form the foundation of the application innovation needed to drive business success today.  Across banks, retail and transportation, IoT, autonomous vehicles, and smart cities, every modern app depends on APIs. Attackers realize APIs are the conduits to all sorts of valuable data and services – within the year, APIs are predicted to be the number one application threat vector. Without secure APIs, businesses cannot rapidly innovate. Salt Security has delivered the only patented solution to discover all APIs and their exposed data, stop API attackers, and provide remediation details for dev teams to write more secure APIs.

At Salt, we’re passionate about what we do. We work as a team and embrace new ideas, wherever they come from. We also enjoy all the benefits of a startup environment, including quickly seeing the results of your work, making an outsized impact on our company, and solving diverse challenges.

Want to make a big difference? We encourage you to apply!

Marketing Events Coordinator (40-Hour Contract Position)

The rapid growth of APIs has revolutionized how organizations innovate, enhance customer experiences, and enter new markets. However, this surge in API adoption has also introduced unprecedented security risks. APIs connect the world, granting access to organizations’ most sensitive data—making them a prime target for cyber threats. In fact, API attacks have skyrocketed by 681% in the last 12 months alone.

Salt Security recognized that traditional security tools were never designed to secure APIs, leaving a critical gap in protection. With over four years of market leadership, we provide the most advanced, end-to-end API security solution, empowering organizations to discover, protect, and defend against API attacks in real time.

About the Role

We are looking for a Marketing Events Coordinator to support our GTM team in executing high-impact industry events and field marketing initiatives. This 40-hour-per-week contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-growing cybersecurity company, helping bring a groundbreaking solution to market. If you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have a passion for event marketing, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

  • Own event coordination—Manage all aspects of field and channel events, including pre/post-event communications, strategy, signage, giveaways, contract negotiation, vendor relations, staffing, on-site production, and logistics.
  • Support major industry tradeshows, ensuring seamless execution and brand visibility.
  • Be the go-to resource for the global sales team, handling field marketing requests.
  • Research and evaluate industry events, sponsorship opportunities, and marketing campaigns to align with company goals and target audience.
  • Oversee swag fulfillment—Ensure warehouse stock is maintained and shipments arrive on time for events.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align marketing efforts with broader company objectives.
  • Manage budgets and accounting processes for field and channel events.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of event marketing experience, preferably in B2B or technology sectors.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com to track and manage event-related data.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams with different goals, perspectives, and personalities.
  • Experience with Monday.com is a plus.
  • Data-driven mindset with a passion for tracking and measuring event success.
  • Creative problem-solver who thrives in fast-moving environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a proactive, positive attitude.

This is a 40-hour-a-week contract position with the potential for impact in a company leading the future of API security. If you’re excited to play a key role in shaping our event marketing efforts, apply today!
