Primary Purpose:

If you’re ready to build real-world experience while applying what you’ve learned so far related to the various functional areas of Marketing, this is the opportunity for you!

Exposures:

  • Leads an assigned Marketing project during the internship involving research, proposing new ideas and solutions, and delivering final recommendations in a capstone presentation at the end of the internship.
  • Supports daily marketing activities, including social media, event planning & execution, promotions, and sponsorship initiatives (e.g. The GameChanger Golf Classic and the Cecil Jarvis Greater Clarksburg 10K Race. 
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Team and internal departments to execute ongoing projects and operational tasks.
  • Captures on-site photographs and video as “boots on the ground” for MVB at sponsorship events and helps develop related social media content.
  • Learns and develops proficiency with internal software systems.
  • Gains exposure to the company’s business model, customers and organizational, goals, etc.

Education/Experience/Skills Requirements:

  • Junior/Senior year undergraduate with a focus in Marketing preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing for Marketing and social media
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and basic graphic design (e.g. Canva)
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently, organize your workload, and meet deadlines while contributing in a remote environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
