Description

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater. COTALAND is an amusement park with over 30 attractions and experiences, including first-of-their-kind roller coasters. 

Circuit of The Americas is seeking a highly organized, creative and experienced Marketing Manager to help plan and execute marketing campaigns across COTA’s year-round sports, entertainment and attractions portfolio.

This position will manage campaigns from initial concept through execution, working closely with COTA’s creative, digital, social media, communications, ticketing, partnerships and operations teams. The ideal candidate is a strong project manager and communicator who can balance long-term planning with the fast-moving needs of a major live events organization.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can develop the strategy, build the plan and help ensure the work gets done accurately, on time and on brand.

Requirements

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns supporting COTA events, attractions, ticket sales and year-round programming.
  • Manage campaign timelines, project briefs, deliverables, approvals and communication across internal departments and external partners.
  • Work closely with the creative team to develop advertising, digital content, email campaigns, social media assets, event signage and other marketing materials.
  • Partner with digital and social media teams to coordinate paid, owned and organic campaign activity.
  • Write, review and edit marketing copy for advertisements, emails, websites, social media, presentations and event communications.
  • Help develop event positioning, campaign concepts, promotions and fan engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate marketing support for major events, including Formula 1, MotoGP, NASCAR, FIA World Endurance Championship, concerts and other COTA programming.
  • Work with ticketing and sales teams to develop campaigns that support attendance, revenue and customer retention goals.
  • Support on-site marketing execution during events, including signage, sponsor activations, content capture and guest communications.
  • Monitor campaign performance, ticket sales, audience engagement and other key metrics.
  • Prepare campaign reports and post-event recaps with results, insights and recommendations.
  • Manage relationships with agencies, media partners, vendors and other external partners.
  • Assist with marketing budgets, invoices, purchase orders and expense tracking.
  • Maintain consistency across the COTA brand and ensure all materials meet established brand standards.
  • Identify new marketing opportunities, partnerships, trends and platforms that can help grow COTA’s audience and strengthen the guest experience.
  • Support the Marketing + Communications team with additional projects and priorities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations or a related field preferred.
  • Four or more years of professional marketing experience.
  • Experience managing integrated campaigns, timelines and multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, live events, hospitality, tourism or destination marketing is preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Understanding of digital marketing, social media, email marketing, paid media and campaign analytics.
  • Experience working with creative teams, agencies, vendors and cross-functional departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common project management, email marketing and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm when priorities change quickly.

Work Requirements

  • Must be available to work select evenings, weekends and holidays based on the COTA event calendar.
  • Must be able to work on-site during major event weekends.
  • Some local or domestic travel may be required.
  • Responsibilities may include extended periods of standing or walking during events and working in outdoor conditions.
