About Mashgin
Mashgin powers the world's best checkout experience for over 40 million users. Customers just place their items on our kiosks and our AI rings up their entire order in less than a second. With Mashgin, lines are now optional.

Mashgin's technology powers over 1 billion transactions at your favorite locations, including over half of all US professional sports teams, 4,000 convenience stores, major airports, universities, and more.

We’re not just building cutting-edge AI—we’re creating real-world impact and unforgettable experiences. Backed by a well-funded Series B, we’re also one of the rare AI startups that’s already profitable.

Our secret? A culture of extreme ownership, autonomy, and customer obsession. At Mashgin, we are building something extraordinary by challenging conventional wisdom. We’ve thrown out the old rules to focus on what truly matters: creating a kickass product that makes people say, 'Wow'. We don’t care about short-term wins; we build systems that stand the test of time. If you thrive in a culture of excellence without compromise and want to see your work have an immediate, remarkable impact, you’re in the right place.

Position Summary
TLDR: You become the marketing lead for Mashgin’s Enterprise Commerce business unit (Stadiums, Cafeterias, Ski Resorts, Healthcare, Universities).

We’re looking for an outside-of-the-box and scrappy marketer to join our growing team. Your focus will be partnering with sales, product, ops, and leadership to build content and programs that drive awareness, build pipeline, and ultimately support revenue generation in our Enterprise Commerce business unit.

This role reports directly to Mashgin’s Chief Marketing Officer and is specifically an opportunity for a hungry marketer to take a driver-seat role at a world-changing company. We’re not super concerned about where or if you went to school, how much technical mar-tech you know, or how large your prior companies were. We care about how you show up, your ability to collaborate, your creativity, and your ability to get shit done.

The ideal person for this role is based near HQ in the Bay Area, CA.

What We Value:

  • Impact: You will own significant responsibility and have total ownership over your work. We stay lean and efficient, so your work directly impacts the product we ship every day.
  • Simplicity: Complexity is a waste of time here—we take pride in building things that just work.
  • Hard Work: Forget the glamorous research papers. We prioritize the hard work it takes to achieve real-world clarity and accuracy. You will innovate relentlessly to push the boundaries of what’s possible in visual automation.
  • Humility: No task is beneath you. Whether it's high-level architecture or grunt work to fix a bug, we check our egos at the door and get real work done.
  • Ruthless Prioritization: If everything is on fire, nothing is. You will be expected to prioritize ruthlessly, cutting through distractions to focus on the most impactful product improvements.
  • Customer Innovation: We are customer-centric, not customer-pleasing. You won’t bend to every client demand; you will let innovation drive the product forward to solve the real problems our users face.
  • Efficiency: Meetings suck. We keep them short and only use them for alignment, giving you your time back to focus on real work.

What You'll Do:

  • Build messaging and content tailored to specific industries in partnership with GTM and product leaders.
  • Support field and event marketing for the Enterprise Commerce vertical. You don’t need to be an event marketing expert, but you will need to pitch in to help us show up strong and stay on top of logistics.
  • Create content that our sales team will use with customers and prospects and can be distributed to drive awareness within our ICPS.
  • Partner with rev-ops and sales to ensure that we are effectively prospecting into our key ICP accounts + track success of campaigns.
  • Work closely with key partners - think Food Service Operators, POS technologies, Cash Recyclers - to run co-marketing programs that drive awareness within partner organizations and customer bases.
  • Partner with sales to identify candidates for social proof and case studies, interview customers, and author crisp case studies that reinforce our market message.
  • Other stuff that doesn’t neatly fit into a job description and/or that we don’t know about yet. We won’t ask you to do anything we wouldn’t or don’t do ourselves, but part of being in an agile startup is learning and adapting.
  • You tell us what you think can be most valuable. We’re always looking to improve and are open to feedback from all parts of the organization. Once you get a handle on things, we want to hear your voice and opinions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years in technology-focused startup marketing OR other relevant experience that demonstrates your ability to succeed with the above work products.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with examples of prior work that you’ve put out and are proud to show us.
  • Experience with partner marketing is a bonus, but at a minimum you need to demonstrate your ability to collaborate with external organizations
  • Project management skills. You don’t need to be a scrum master, but we expect that you can keep track of priorities, share updates, and manage projects from end-to-end.
  • Experience with basic marketing technologies (Hubspot, Figma, Webflow, for example) is a nice-to-have, but not required.
  • Prior experience either managing or supporting event marketing and tradeshows is a nice-to-have, but not required.
  • Experience with retail technology and/or Food Service Operators (think Aramark, Sodexo, Compass) is a huge plus, but not required to succeed in the role.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time for events or deployments

What We Offer

  • An opportunity to work on a small, multidisciplinary team with the potential to break new ground in many different industries
  • Excellent health, dental and vision insurance for you and your dependents
  • 401k plan
  • Flexible PTO policy
  • Catered lunch in office with fully stocked snacks and beverages
  • Pet insurance for your fur babies
  • Voluntary life insurance plan
  • Competitive salary and options in a small, rapidly scaling company
