Tapcart is the leading mobile app platform for the world's fastest-growing Shopify brands. We help marketers and eCommerce teams strengthen their brands and create differentiated customer experiences through a direct mobile channel.

Our platform powers mobile shopping for over 50 million consumers and processes more than $8 billion in revenue annually. Brands like Béis, Grove Collaborative, and Ruggable trust Tapcart to turn mobile traffic into high-retention, high-growth relationships — with mobile apps launched in hours, not months.

THE ROLE

We're looking for a Marketing Manager to join our team — someone who sits confidently at the intersection of marketing operations, product marketing, and execution. This isn't a pure ops role, and it isn't a pure PMM role. It's both, and that's what makes it interesting.

You'll own the systems and programs that keep our marketing engine running at a high level — HubSpot infrastructure, conversion optimization, customer marketing — while also playing a central role in how we bring our product to market. You'll also serve as the team's operational anchor: keeping campaigns on track, managing the marketing calendar, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building a nurture workflow, writing a product one-pager, and running a CRO experiment. You're a structured thinker who doesn't need a playbook handed to you — you build the playbook.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Own marketing operations end-to-end: You'll be the primary owner of our HubSpot instance — maintaining workflows, lead scoring, contact management, segmentation, and reporting. You'll ensure our marketing data is clean, our attribution is accurate, and our funnel metrics tell a true story. You'll partner closely with Rev Ops and Sales Ops to keep our systems aligned.

Drive conversion rate optimization across the funnel: You'll own CRO across our key marketing surfaces — website, landing pages, email, and paid — running structured A/B tests and using data to identify drop-off points and improve them. You approach experimentation methodically and follow insights all the way through to implementation.

Bring product marketing rigor to our GTM motion: You'll support new product launches with messaging frameworks, positioning documents, sales enablement assets, and competitive intelligence. You'll help translate what the product does into language that resonates with buyers — and keep our core marketing assets up to date as the product evolves.

Build and run customer marketing programs: You'll own lifecycle communications for our existing customers — onboarding sequences, expansion campaigns, and retention programs. You'll work with Customer Success to build a customer reference pipeline and find ways to turn happy customers into active Tapcart advocates.

Serve as the team's operational backbone: You'll own the marketing calendar, project tracking, and cross-functional coordination that keeps the team moving. You'll flag blockers, close loops, and make sure campaigns and launches land on time. In a small team, this kind of operational ownership is a force multiplier.

Use AI to accelerate your output: You'll leverage AI tools to move faster — automating repetitive tasks, improving workflow efficiency, and helping the team get more done with less. You're not afraid to build something new if it solves a real problem.

WHAT SKILLS YOU'LL NEED (5+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE)

Marketing operations depth: You have strong HubSpot proficiency — you can build workflows, pull segmented reports, troubleshoot attribution, and maintain list hygiene without supervision. You understand how the marketing tech stack connects to the broader GTM motion.

Conversion rate optimization experience: You've run CRO experiments — A/B tests, multivariate tests, or iterative page-level optimizations — and know how to read the results and act on them. You approach conversion as a system to be improved, not a one-time project.

Product marketing instincts: You can distill complex product capabilities into clear, compelling messaging. You know what a good positioning document looks like, you've built sales enablement assets, and you understand how to approach a product launch end-to-end.

Operational mindset and strong tech accumen: You like building systems, creating structure where it's missing, and making sure the team has what it needs to execute. You understand how different tech tools, APIs, etc. work together to create workflow efficiency. You're someone who closes loops, owns timelines, and gets satisfaction from running a tight operation.

Strong written communication: You write clearly across contexts — customer emails, internal briefs, product one-pagers, and campaign copy. You don't need a copywriter to get your first draft to a high standard.

Analytical fluency: You're comfortable pulling and interpreting funnel data, building performance dashboards, and sharing insights with the broader team. You know what your numbers mean and why they matter.

Cross-functional collaboration: You work naturally with Sales, Rev Ops, Product, and Customer Success. You communicate proactively, manage expectations well, and are easy to partner with.

BONUS IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience in the Shopify or DTC e-commerce ecosystem

  • Hands-on experience with CRO tools

  • Background in customer marketing or lifecycle marketing

  • Familiarity with AI tools for workflow automation and content production

  • Experience using project management tools (Asana, Notion) to run a marketing team
