Your Role

As a Marketing Operations Specialist, Consultant, you will play a hands-on, delivery-focused role within the Marketing Operations function, supporting critical operational areas including print production facilitation, project management administration, and workflow coordination. This position serves as a central point of coordination between internal teams and external vendors, helping manage print specifications, estimates, invoice coordination, proofs, production schedules, quality checks, and final distribution. You will support a range of direct mail, promotional, member welcome, and ad hoc marketing projects, ensuring materials move efficiently through production while maintaining accuracy, quality, and timely delivery. From time to time, this role may also help set up and manage incoming team projects by opening projects in workflow systems, managing tasks, tracking timelines, and following up with stakeholders to keep work on schedule.

The Marketing Operations Specialist, Consultant will report to the Sr. Manager, Marketing Operations.

Responsibilities

Your Work

in this role, you will:

  • Facilitate end-to-end print production by serving as the primary coordination point between internal teams and external vendors; manage specifications, estimates, proofs, invoices, production schedules, quality reviews, and distribution activities
  • Support the timely and accurate delivery of direct mail campaigns, promotional programs, member welcome materials, data requests, and other specialty marketing initiatives
  • Manage project intake and workflow administration by creating projects and tasks in workflow systems, maintaining timelines, monitoring status, and driving follow-through to support on-time completion
  • Review marketing assets and production materials for accuracy, quality, brand consistency, and compliance prior to release
  • Coordinate invoice processing, purchase documentation, and other production-related administrative activities
  • Maintain project records, production schedules, and workflow documentation to support operational efficiency, visibility, and reporting
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve production issues, manage priorities, and ensure seamless execution of marketing deliverables
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance workflow efficiency, visibility, and overall marketing operations effectiveness
Qualifications

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration or relevant field, or a high school diploma/GED plus four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
  • Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience in marketing
  • Requires experience managing print and digital production processes, including direct mail strategy, vendor coordination, distribution, and fulfillment
  • Demonstrated marketing project management experience, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives, timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables simultaneously
  • Requires experience with health plan, healthcare provider, financial services, or other highly regulated industry
  • Agile or Scrum methodology experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence across teams and organizational levels
  • Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
     

Hybrid

This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week.

Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
