The Master Schedule Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the master production schedule (MPS) to ensure efficient operations, on-time delivery, and resource utilization across all manufacturing facilities. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with scheduling software, and the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining production efficiency and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translates projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule.
  • Establishes key performance indicators of master plan accuracy.
  • Ensures the interaction with a firm’s functional managers, and tracks and maintains the forecast through timely and accurate feedback.
  • Assembles master schedule report that encompasses performance against the business plan, shipment plan, inventory plan, and production plan.
  • Identifies current planned level of demand and creates tactical production plans to meet the identified customer demand.
  • Calculates production lead times.
  • Manages load leveling and bottleneck scheduling and utilizes the Theory Of Constraints (TOC) for more accurate scheduling.
  • Manages Materials Resource Planning (MRP) exception messages on a daily basis.
  • Works with local execution, local Planning & Fulfillment (P&F) Manager, and regional execution organization P&F Manager to resolve issues.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or master scheduling
  • Preferred 5-7 years in manufacturing or operations environment
    Proven experience with MPS (Master Production Scheduling) and capacity planning
    Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Background in supply chain management or production control
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems: SAP, Oracle, Infor, Workday, or similar enterprise resource planning systems
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish verbal & written.
