Your Opportunity
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design efforts in a wide variety of market sectors with a specific focus on industrial projects such as Semiconductor Manufacturing, Data Centers, and other Advanced Manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate may work under the direction of a Senior Engineer in a cross-discipline team including architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Engineering systems and components such as pumps, coils, heat exchangers, and fans;
- Heating/Cooling loads calculations;
- HVAC equipment selections;
- Air and water plant distribution piping and ductwork sizing;
- Ventilation calculations;
- Pipe stress analysis calculations;
- CFD analysis calculations;
- Calculations will be done using software tools such as IES, Pipe-Flo, Rhor2, and 6SigmaRoom. Prior knowledge of the software is a plus but not required;
- In addition, the engineer will be responsible for the creation of drawings and specifications, participating in site walks, code analysis, and project meetings as required.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Developing knowledge of mechanical systems design;
- Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks (preferred);
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering;
- 6+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in an engineering consulting firm or similarly related industry;
- Professional Engineering license required;
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
