We currently have a career opportunity for a Microsoft Solutions Architect to join our team.  This is a remote position, with the successful candidate being located within the United States.

As a Solutions Architect in the Microsoft AI Business Solutions Practice, you will work directly with our customers to lead the creation of solutions leveraging Microsoft’s Business Applications tools.  You’ll play an active role in leading a cross functional team, designing technical solutions, building relationships with our customers, and overseeing a global development team during the implementation phase.  
 

The Solutions Architect role is a senior leadership position responsible for guiding our largest and most strategic engagements. This individual will provide overall project delivery leadership for customer projects while actively contributing to the business unit’s leadership team. In addition to overseeing strategic delivery, the role includes ongoing customer relationship management and development, working closely with the Sales Team to ensure client success and growth.

Light travel (20% or less). 

This role is considered part of the Business Unit Senior Leadership team and may mentor delivery team members.

 

 

 

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary Power Platform subject matter expert on customer engagements.
  • Work with the Product Owner and/or Business Analysts to understand functional requirements strategic and operational uses of the D365 platform and create technical designs.
  • Lead the design of technical architecture solutions; and create architectural design documents and associated deliverables.
  • Serve as a team leader and share responsibility for receiving a high customer satisfaction score upon completion of key milestones.  
  • Drive Power Platform implementations through all project phases including discovery, definition, build, test, and deployment.
  • Lead stakeholder education, discovery, planning, and design sessions.
  • Work with the Product Owner and/or Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and create technical designs.  
  • Develop proof-of-concept projects to validate solution designs.
  • Serve as an expert on licensing; and create financial plans and ROI models that explain the cost implications of adopting the Power Platform.
  • Work with the development team to define specifications for customizations and custom code.
  • Support multiple Scrum teams with planning, scoping, and creating technical solutions.
  • Ensure best practices are adhered to by performing code reviews.
  • Contribute to continuously improving the Power Platform practice through the creation of best practices, templates, and demos.
  • Provide mentoring and leadership across Perficient as it relates to established processes, professionalism, customer interaction, etc. 
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in the Microsoft Business Applications ecosystem creating business applications using Power Apps (both model driven and canvas apps), Power Automate flows, Power Pages, Copilot Studio and Power BI.
  • 5+ years in consulting services with experience leading complex engagements as the senior delivery resource guiding end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Business Application solutions ensuring security, governance, scalability, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Led technical discussions with business and technical decision makers, detailing specifications, product roadmaps, deployment, and integrations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse.
  • SharePoint Migration Experience.
  • Knowledge of Dynamic Sales, Dynamics Service and Dynamics Customer Insights.
  • Knowledge of relational database architecture and concepts.
  • Knowledge of Copilot Studio, Azure AI services, and Azure OpenAI.
  • Knowledge of  C#, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and PowerShell.
  • Experience leading global delivery teams.
  • Experience using source control management tools such as Visual Studio, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
  • Systems integration and ETL implementation expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.  
  • Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.  
  • A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected.
  • Managed projects using Scrum, SAFe, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Experience in project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
  • Built business cases and communicated client-specific value propositions as a trusted advisor.
  • Fostered collaboration, resolved challenges, and built strong client relationships.
  • Strong technical writing, documentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work capably under stress and to juggle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-driven with minimal supervision.

Certifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • Active Microsoft certifications (PL-200, PL-400, PL-600, etc.)

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $81,978.00 to $178,090.00. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential variable compensation programs.
