We are seeking a Renewals Account Manager to develop and implement strategies for renewing groups of 50-499 employees. Responsibilities include coordinating marketing efforts, maintaining relationships with key contacts, and educating agents on Florida Blue sales processes and products. 

 

Important to Know

  • Must reside in South, FL or surrounding area
  • Requires frequent travel for field training, strategizing, building, and maintaining business relationships.
  • Required Health and Life Insurance license.
  • Valid State Driver’s License

 

What You Will Be Doing

 

  • Develop, coordinate and implement strategies and plans associated with all aspects of renewals for groups of 50-499, including Diversified Business, new sales and renewals. 
  • Accountable for coordination of marketing service efforts in a manner that facilitates the retention and effective administration activities of assigned accounts by assuring that Florida Blue delivers appropriate service to all group administrators, employees and agents. 
  • Maintain relationships with key contacts and provide a mutual understanding of the plans, policies and procedures to ensure group’s expectations are met. 
  • Manage and conduct the development, coordination and distribution of enrollment materials and enrollment educational sessions. 
  • Build strong partnerships with agents and individuals internal/external to the sales organization who support servicing, renewing and selling of our products 
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with a specific assigned group of agents. 
  • Educate agents on Florida Blue sales processes, products, pricing, policies and procedures 
  • Act as liaison or key point of contact between agent and Florida Blue 
  • Build strong relationships with individuals within and outside the sales organization who support retention of our products. 
  • Manage the agent through the Florida Blue sales process to achieve retention goals through collateral material, proposal and rating, influencing RFP's, closing/acquisition, objection handling, and enrollment/implementation. 
  • Create commitment to Florida Blue by moving agent to higher levels (Gold and Blue Diamond). 
  • Moderate to heavy keying required. 

What We Require
 

  • 3+ years related work experience in l health insurance experience, account service experience, or small group renewals 

  • Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience 

  • Hold a Current State of Florida Health and Life Insurance License 

  • Valid State Driver License 

  • Experience developing and delivering presentations. 

  • Experience in issue resolution with agents, account administrators and team members. 

  • Demonstrate experience in organizing and addressing complex business issues with strong problem solving skills.

 

What We Prefer

 

  • Group Health Insurance experience in the Ft Lauderdale/Miami area Knowledge 

  • Florida Blue policies and procedures or sales experience with ancillary products (life, dental, STD) 

  • Any professional designations related to the Health Insurance Industry 

  • Experience working with insurance agents in the South Florida market. Knowledge of group insurance underwriting. 
     

General Physical Demands

 

  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. 

  • Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Typical Annualized Offer/Hiring Range: $93,000 - $116,200
Annualized Salary Range: $93,000 - $151,000
Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
