Compensation: $250,000 – $350,000 OTE
The Mission
An established aerospace manufacturer is expanding its presence across U.S. Military, Government, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs. This role is responsible for driving strategic growth by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across defense aviation markets.
You will lead opportunities from initial engagement through contract award, combining relationship-driven business development with strong execution in government contracting environments.

A relationship-driven business development professional with deep government market knowledge, strong proposal expertise, and a track record of winning complex programs in defense and aerospace.
- Identify and pursue opportunities across U.S. Military, Government, and FMS programs
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities
- Develop relationships with government agencies, military stakeholders, and prime contractors
- Lead RFQ/RFP responses and develop compliant proposals (FAR/DFARS)
- Execute pricing strategies aligned with "price-to-win" methodologies
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams
- Represent the organization at industry events and customer meetings
- Track pipeline performance and forecast revenue
- 8+ years in aerospace, defense, or government contracting BD/sales
- Proven success in quota-driven environments
- Experience with MIL/GOV/FMS proposals and contract negotiations
- Strong knowledge of FAR and DFARS
- Established network within defense, government, or aerospace markets
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and statements of work
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Engineering, or related)
- Prior military experience
- Familiarity with DCAA/DCMA environments
- Up to 25% travel
