Seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics/Product Support (ILS/IPS) Engineering SME to fill a key modernization role for product portfolios supporting design, development and/or long-term production and sustainment programs. The right candidate will bring in-depth logistics engineering knowledge and experience to help transform BAE Systems and our industry through cutting-edge Model Based Engineering (MBE) and Model Based Product Support (MBPS) practices. We're seeking a visionary who would be interested in joining us to help propel this revolution forward.
The right candidate would be an inquisitive self-starter, well-versed in logistics planning and system design/support engineering tasks surrounding new acquisition system architectures and life cycle support. It would require an understanding of some of the modeling processes, practices, tools, and related languages and frameworks (e.g. SysML, UML, UAF) and help guide development activities that solve complex technical problems. You would be part of a highly visible trailblazing team of Product Support champions and other SMEs charged with collaborating with project teams and other leaders to contribute to the creation of MBPS training materials and company best practices that help develop and guide our MBPS implementation roadmap.
This position may require intermittent in-person collaboration however the right candidate can perform most tasks remotely and it can be fully remote or as a hybrid or fully onsite position at a BAE Systems facility.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with logistics engineering tools and processes to prepare models and documents meeting DoD and/or GEIA standards and an ability to perform product support analyses using electronic models
  • Familiarity in the uses of MagicDraw/Cameo and associated plug-ins
  • Experience using common ILS tools and models (COMPASS, SESAME, EAGLE, OPUS etc.)
  • Familiarity with principles and implementation using Model Based Engineering/Product Support (MBE/MBPS) activities
  • Individual should be an agile thinker and executor of Product Support able to interact with multiple related and supporting disciplines
  • Working knowledge of Reliability, Maintainability, and Product Safety to ensure emphasis is placed on designing for high levels of supportability and availability

Experience performing at least one or all of the following analytic activities:
  • Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
  • Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)
  • Spares Analysis
  • Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERD)
  • Provisioning

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Demonstrated experience with the use of MagicDraw/Cameo and associated plug-ins on logistics and support tasks
  • Demonstrated proficiency in UML, SysML, and other relevant modeling languages and frameworks
  • Ability to create specialized searches, and analyze problems through models
  • Experienced in Modeling, Simulation, Visualization and Analysis (MSVA)
  • Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI)
  • Familiar with Government Reference Architectures (GRAs)
  • Familiarity with principles and implementation of Contractor Logistics Support, Performance Based Logistics activities
  • Familiarity with Technical Manual and Training development requirements
  • Demonstrated confidence in presentations to customer or management audiences
  • Ability to obtain TS Clearance

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
