Who is Flock?

Flock Safety is the leading safety technology platform, helping communities thrive by taking a proactive approach to crime prevention and security. Our hardware and software suite connects cities, law enforcement, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods in a nationwide public-private safety network. Trusted by over 5,000 communities, 4,500 law enforcement agencies, and 1,000 businesses, Flock delivers real-time intelligence while prioritizing privacy and responsible innovation.

We’re a high-performance, low-ego team driven by urgency, collaboration, and bold thinking. Working at Flock means tackling big challenges, moving fast, and continuously improving. It’s intense but deeply rewarding for those who want to make an impact.

With nearly $700M in venture funding and a $7.5B valuation, we’re scaling intentionally and seeking top talent to help build the impossible. If you value teamwork, ownership, and solving tough problems, Flock could be the place for you.

The Opportunity

As our marketing and brand presence expand, we need a dedicated Motion Designer to bring the Flock Safety story to life through high-impact motion graphics, animations, and visual storytelling. This role will help define how motion lives across our website, paid ads, campaigns, product launches, sales tools, and tentpole events. You will own the development of our motion style guide and help build a scalable motion component system (transitions, lower thirds, animated iconography, and product UI animations).

You’ll partner with our in-house videographers to edit, polish and ship video projects. You’ll partner with our web designer to deliver engaging scroll-based animations, microinteractions, and Lottie animations that match our new brand system. You’ll guide the motion design process from beginning to end - helping internal stakeholders to realize their vision while keeping projects on time and on brand. You’re used to working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a high bar for quality.

The Skillset
  • 4-6 years of professional Motion Design experience, ideally with experience at a busy in-house team or production studio

  • A portfolio of motion work that shows both conceptual thinking and brand consistency

  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Proficiency in industry relevant multimedia software

  • Expert in typography, pacing, transitions, and narrative structure in motion storytelling

  • Proven ability to thrive in small, fast-paced teams and champion your work to teammates and leadership

  • Proven ability to guide stakeholders through the motion design process - suggesting design solutions to their goals and needs for each project and creating storyboards or animatics where necessary

  • Receptive to feedback in an iterative design process

  • Able to work independently, drive multiple projects at a time, and iterate quickly

  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders

  • Experience producing paid ads for Meta, Youtube, Linkedin, and CTV as well as an understanding of social best practices and strategies

  • Experience creating Lottie animations and working with developers to bring motion to life in product and marketing

  • 3D skills a plus

Feeling uneasy that you haven’t ticked every box? That’s okay; we’ve felt that way too. Studies have shown women and minorities are less likely to apply unless they meet all qualifications. We encourage you to break the status quo and apply to roles that would make you excited to come to work every day.
